Tuesday, August 24, 2010. July is a big month for the Roth's. Dad, Ryan, and Noah all have birthdays, and this July especially because Lucie graduated from Preschool. For Ryan's birthday we went out for a steak dinner. Noah pops up wearing this tie because it was "a special occasion". =) I just loved it so I played it up with the 80's pose. Next was Lucie's graduation. And finally for Noah's birthday he wanted to go to a restaurant "where they cook in front of you". So we went to Ooka in Riverside.

So after a lesson from my momma, Bob-O, I learned how to bunch the skirts and add the fun red ball things. (I am sure there is a name for that. Comment if you happen to know the name.). She has battled dementia for many years and is now free with a strong mind and body. We were lucky to have her at home with our families for the past 4 years. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Smoked Gouda and Beer Mac and Cheese. I heard someone talking about this mac and cheese and decided I needed to try it! So today I fiddled around in the kitchen and came up with a great product. Super easy to make and it takes less than 30 minutes. So here you go. 16 oz pasta (I used bow tie because it was all I had, but elbow is the favorite). 12 oz smoked gouda, graded (you can definitely use less, down to 4 oz but I love cheese! 1/2 cup beer (I used Hanger 24 Pale Ale).
