The Shabby Tulip

Friday, December 9, 2011. I picked up an old window free from leftovers after a yardsale. It was just begging for a transformation. This is what I came up with:. Sorry, this first one's a touch on the blurry side. I just grabbed a package of letter stencils at Hobby Lobby and stenciled them backwards on the backside of the window. Then I added some white paint behind as an outline to the letters. Last I modpodged some torn pages of a novel that I had lying around. Easy peasy! Thursday, December 8, 2011.

The Shabby Tulip: The Many Planking Attempts of Jerianna Lynne Pikul

http://theshabbytulip.blogspot.com/2011/07/many-planking-attempts-of-jerianna.html

Saturday, July 23, 2011. The Many Planking Attempts of Jerianna Lynne Pikul. This is my sweet little sister Jerianna Lynne (Jeri for short) Pikul. Yes, in case this is new information, my maiden name is Pikul (pronounced pickle). Let's just say I wasn't too disappointed about the name change. Anywho,. So you're probably wondering about the title of my post. Have you heard of planking? I think some people were just extremely bored one day and one friend said to the other, "Whadoya wanna do today Bob?

The Shabby Tulip: My pretty little Entryway & DIY Trunk Bench

http://theshabbytulip.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-pretty-little-entryway-diy-trunk.html

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. My pretty little Entryway and DIY Trunk Bench. My entryway used to be boring. It was nothing special. It didn't say, "Hello there, friend. Please come in and be very welcome." It said nothing. Sadly (as you may have figured out if you've followed me much) I forgot to take a before picture. So all you get is this:. This was my attempt at an in-progress picture:) Lots and lots of tape. Ok, and here's the after! Don't you love my stripey wall? Shelf- Hobby Lobby, where else?

The Shabby Tulip: Crazy-mad black friday

http://theshabbytulip.blogspot.com/2011/12/crazy-mad-black-friday.html

Tuesday, December 6, 2011. First I'll tell you about our wonderful Thanksgiving with friends, and then I'll recap the crazy. Most of my good friends aren't from good ol' BV, so they typically go out of town for Thanksgiving, but not so this year! All of us were home and so, wonder of all wonders, we decided to do a potluck style dinner. This was our cute little table. It was so fun to have everyone sit together! We did this in our church's basement, so photo quality is not the best, sorry:/. 160; I just ...

The Shabby Tulip: September 2011

http://theshabbytulip.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 29, 2011. Hi my name is Rachelle and I have a Chandelier addiction. Can you be addicted if you've never had one? This was what used to hang in my living room:. Oh sweetness. That is hideous. Something had to be done. I had seen chandeliers online and in antique stores going for $150 . way. Over my teeny budget. What is a DIYer to do? Don't be alarmed. There is a happy ending to this story. One of the best things about this beauty? Joy of all joys, it worked. Now here's what I did-.

The Shabby Tulip: Blue Chair mini makeover

http://theshabbytulip.blogspot.com/2011/12/blue-chair-mini-makeover.html

Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Blue Chair mini makeover. I bought this blue armchair at a thriftstore for $20 a few months ago and it has been sitting in my living room staring at me. I cringed every time I looked at it because I knew it needed some TLC. I actually really loved the original upholstery, but it had been totally scratched up (cat maybe? On the front of the arms. So this previously daunting reupholstery job that I had been dreading turned into a 10 minute transformation! I love the chair!
