Be a funnel, not a sponge – Vikas Kasturi

In search of asymmetric bets. Be a funnel, not a sponge. I recently got to attend a 3-day workshop conducted by Prof. Sanjay Bakshi at Flame University, Pune. ( http:/ www.flame.edu.in/academics/executive-education/fil-with-the-masters/june-2016. Probably would’ve been better if the movement was called Black Lives Matter Too. So that poorly informed, non-black people would stop thinking that black people are saying that they matter more. They’re not saying that, they just want to be treated equally. Why are black people being disproportionately killed by police? So, if 1,000. Or someth...

Journey to become less dumb everyday. June 7, 2015. The first time I read of the body as hardware and the mind as software analogy was while reading Lying by Sam Harris. I do not remember what I thought about lying before I took The Ethical Analyst, but the course accomplished as close to a firmware upgrade of my brain as I have ever experienced. I came away convinced that lying, even about the smallest matters, needlessly damages personal relationships and public trust. David Shapiro (@daveshap) October...
