Familien Thomasen i Iowa. Onsdag den 1. december 2010. Den 10. maj 1910 lettede et fly fra Burlington golfklub. Ombord var piloten Arthur J. Hartman, som derved blev den første til at flyve et motoriseret fly med start fra Iowa jord. For at markere 100 året for denne begivenhed blev der den 17. og 18. september afholdt et airshow, Fly Iowa 2010, i lufthavnen i Burlington. På trods af vejret var der rigtig mange mennesker, og der var rig lejlighed til at kigge nærmere på flyene når de stod på jorden.
