Thompson Family Postcards from Texas. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. With more sweet potatoes on her face than in her belly we are still trying to master the art of eating from a spoon. Here's Mia, 4 months old and ready to be a foodie! This picture was taken about a month ago at our 1st big girl food experience! Although sweet potatoes and bananas seem to be her favs, so far we've tried carrots, green beans, apples, bananas, prunes, cereal and the latest and least favorite of all.Peas! I caught Dylan the other day hanging out on the coffee table watching TV. He figured out how to climb onto Lauren's chair to get up there. Gotta keep a close eye on him. :). July is a busy month. We arrived on Friday at the Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa. Upon check-in, we were greeted by the hotel staff with cold hand towels and an icy cold beverage. Big 12 Championship Game. We went to the Big 12 Championship Game this year. What an incredible nail biting, heart pounding game. Really, the last couple of minutes were nerve-racking. Longhorns come through with a Win in literally the last second of the game! Ps IT WAS FREEZING OUTSIDE, but nice and toasy inside the stadium! Oh yeah.and our Nebraska 'friends' pssh.they lost! One of the many joys in having little girls.Ballet and Tap! Lauren started dance in January and has been preparing for her very first recital coming up in May. We are so excited to see her perform, we can hardly stand it! I must say.she is one of the most graceful 3 year old ballerinas we have ever seen and we couldn't be more proud of her. Saturday we spent the day at Lone Star Park. It was a gorgeous day, high in the upper 70's with a light breeze.
