The Power of Ideas. Where’s the Fire? If you have read this Blog (or talked with me over time), you would know that I have been critical of policy and policy response from the Federal Reserve (as well as the Treasury). I often refer to the Fed’s approach as ostrich economics. Their s. Hort-sighted policies have dug us into a fine mess. Across the entire spectrum, people have been suckered in hook, line and sinker. It sounds like a bad infomercial. But wait, there’s more. Inflation is tomorrow’s problem.

The Power of Ideas. February 27, 2009. Good Bank, Bad Bank, Naive Public. January 28, 2009. The Law of Unintended and Unanticipated Consequences. Our Government does not handle dissent or opposition very well. The Bush Administration has refined this to a science. But the Congressional hearings on the Paulson bailout package hammer home the point, and should raise a red flag as high and as poignantly as the flag the Marines hoisted at Iwo Jima. How about other risks? In essence, by focusing our resources...

Thought Nog Art Zine - R. Thies

Release Date: September 2010. The Thought Nog Zine Anthology is currently available for purchase via Etsy here. Thought Nog is a quarterly publication of various artistic absurdities that I started in 2007 to help promote my art and other creative endeavors. As a mini-zine, each issue measures 4.25in x 5.5in, twelve pages from front to back. After releasing eight issues, distributing them on the streets and at art shows, I decided to compile the best Nog material into a super fantastic, 60-page anthology.
