thoughts I can hide behind

Thoughts I can hide behind. Saturday, June 18, 2011. Idolatry. A historical artifact of religion. Present day truth. Everyday life. Something I have been learning recently is that I am an idolater. There are so many things that call to my inner desire to worship. There are so many things that I hunger and lust after. These things are not good for me. Sometimes they appear as though they are good, but the worship of them pulls me away, and draws me from my Saviour. Are there things you have made idols of?

It is only in Jesus | Broken, In Repair

https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2011/08/12/454

Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. It is only in Jesus. 8221; We hold on to the things we should forget; and forget the things we ought to remember.” – Tim Keller. Aren’t I amazing? 8221; All the while not remembering, holding onto, giving thanks for, and continuing to press into the God who saved me, adopted me, forgave me and changes me. I need you God. Because only in you am I truly free to overcome and change. In your Son’s mighty name,. August 12, 2011. Blog at WordPress...

Rest in the shadow of your wings | Broken, In Repair

https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/rest-in-the-shadow-of-your-wings

Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. Rest in the shadow of your wings. I’ve grown up, primarily in a culture where men are discouraged to show any sign of weakness. No tears, no fear, where liking anything other than combat sports or anything aggressive (music, shows etc.) is sometimes looked down upon. I’ve had the notion hammered into me that asking for help, admitting weakness, admitting to struggles is a general no-no. 8220;With my strength alone, I’ll overcome my str...

This is the only thing I can offer | Broken, In Repair

https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2012/10/21/this-is-the-only-thing-i-can-offer

Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. This is the only thing I can offer. Yet, this gives me pause. What do I have to offer? I’m not as passionate, nor am I able to speak well. My singing is horrific, as is my instrument playing. As I dwell on what I lack, I am reminded that my identity isn’t founded on the talents I have. It is the same with my friends, their identities are not founded and grounded by the talents they were given. October 21, 2012. Anesthetic Apathy →. So it&#82...

It’s been awhile hasn’t it? | Broken, In Repair

Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. It’s been awhile hasn’t it? Alas, it didn’t happen. And what I’m left with is a growing dread that I wasted a year of my life in South Korea (which I KNOW for a fact, that wasn’t true). There are many things to be thankful for after my time there: meeting amazing people, travelling (get paid while travelling…which is a plus! I’m not sure. We’ll test the waters of the blogosphere once again to find out. October 20, 2012. It is only in Jesus.

Anesthetic Apathy | Broken, In Repair

https://hansenlung.wordpress.com/2012/11/01/anesthetic-apathy

Broken, In Repair. A hardened heart being transformed by Grace. I love my friends, I really do. So when they ask me how my soul is doing (which they have fairly recently) I can’t help but answer honestly. The thing is, what comes out of my mouth concerns me. Because what comes out of my mouth, I believe, if not in whole, than in part, comes straight out of the depths of my heart. Let my heart not be apathetic to you, Jesus. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. November 1, 2012. The honesty is amazing!

Thought Shredder | Bringing Out the Bucker in You

What Others Are Saying. Creating the Authentic You. A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children” (Proverbs 13:22). The inheritance is not just in money, but in physical, intellectual, emotional and behavioral characteristics. To be truly authentic we need to get back to this inheritance and discover what makes us who we are. Then we can choose to create the person we want to be. Not false or copied; genuine; real. A journey to space begins in a thought. A journey to thought begins in this space! Friday, November 02, 2012. When my mother was a child she lived in a village which had no electricity. Children going to tuitions in the evening had to carry kerosene lamps, she said. The significant word for me in that statement was not ‘lamps’. It was 'tuitions! There were tuitions in our country even before electricity? How shocking is that? And she says what she witnessed that day- the same old things in her same old h...

Friday, July 17, 2009. The Other Side of the Story. Here are my answers to the same questions:. 1 What souvenirs did you buy? 1 shirt from the University of Oregon, robo-keys (it's a key cover that looks like a robot head), and some vintage looking postcards from Oregon and Colorado. I think that might be it. 2 What was the can't miss spot on the trip? Definitely Crater Lake. There's a reason Oregon put it as the design for their state quarter. 3 CD most likely to add to. 5 Place to spend another week in?

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Well my little thoughtsicles. it's been a while but I'm back. Today's topic? I have been on the hunt for a toy box for Rupert's multitude of toys for sooooo long! But not just any toy box, one that would look super cute in our living room and not look toyish itself. Well the search is over. While perusing UsedNanaimo which is a very common occurrence for me. I found the cutest toy box! And for only $15! Sibling perched on it for some adorable photos! Friday, July 30, 2010.
