From the museum we walked to a market we’d found so we could buy some fake beats for the boys. They are not kind to headphones. Welcome to our Circus. Narita, 12.31.14. We made it to Japan! Our flight from HCMC was uneventful. We tried to get some sleep but only T was able to get comfortable enough to sleep. We had a 10hr layover in Narita so we decided to leave the airport and get a Japan stamp in our passports. There’s a temple in Narita that is easy to get to. Just change some money to Yen, buy train tickets, stop at Starbucks for breakfast, figure out how to work the entrance gate, board the train and voila! You are in Narita!

Welcome to our Circus. HOME, 12.31.14. It’s weird to arrive home 3 hours before you leave. The flight from Narita to Chicago was long. We were all pretty beat but T was the only one who could get comfy enough to sleep. The rest of us watched movies (Boyhood, The Giver, The Maze Runner for me) and tried to nap. The Tale of Two Preemies. Life on the farm with two boys. Monday, May 12, 2014. Spring has finally arrived! Pat has been busy digging and planting corn. We haven't seen much of him in the last few days. Spring also means baby chicks! We moved them out of their tub into a plastic calf hutch. We can't let them roam, or they will become really expensive dog treats, so we have an area penned off where they can roam and 2 hutches for shelter. It works well. She tries to pick them up and then squeals at them.

She even got her very own Strider and a new helmet. I think holding her baby cousin was her favorite, though. She's my snuggler, my troublemaker, and everything in between. Life is never dull when Shelby is around! We love you, Shelby Kay! And she has the perfect little piggy tail to match her cute smile.

One of my CC runners breeds her golden retriever and she had her batch of puppies just before Christmas. Shelby thought he was great as long as he wasn't in her face. Even Juno got some loving. Shelby also really liked his play yard. The puppy, not so much. There were plenty of snowballs thrown,. And Cole even built a snowman. 4 days in a row!

Summertime, and the living is easy (for kids). June 17, 2015. I am determined to do fun things as a family this summer, and so we saw Jurassic World. It was great. Then we came home and watched this silliness:. Really, the raptors on motorcycles would have been sa-weeeeet, and we missed Dr. Ian Malcolm but other than that, we enjoyed the heck out of it. Anyway, we had a great time playing in the sand and no one barfed in the car on the windy roads home. Victory! Somehow, it’s June. June 6, 2015.
