Saturday, August 25, 2012. Last days on the island. Morning view of Madeira beaches. 65279;Our last full day in Madeira we decided to rent the cab again and hike to the east point. While the Lavadas were less than spectacular, the hike and the views from the point were very nice. My thighs were killing me by the end, since we had just climbed the peaks the day before. . Hike out to the Lavadas point. Seafood and rice at Monumental Grill. Video of the Mixed Fish on the Stone dish at Real Canoa restaurant.

Wednesday, September 22, 2010. We headed a bit south to the Farmers Market last week and bought up some of the yummy butternut squash that are out. Ofcourse we made up some of our Roasted Squash Soup. Much against the FDAs recommendations (ek! Until then we used the other squash up in a wonderful tart recipe that I have. Monday, July 26, 2010. Fresh from the Vine. Back in May when we went on our Greece trip. We had dolomades (stuffed grape leaves). They were so amazing! We decided to try out some of our own from my mom's vines on the Wisconsin farm. Here's the arbor view of them growing.
