Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Height: 6-3 Weight: 185. Age: 23 Position: Pitcher. 2011 statistics: 2-1, 5.14 ERA, 21 games,. Opp BA .259, 16 BB, 23 SO. How do the pitchers currently on the team and in the organization deal with the pressure of the Pirates recent drafts being so pitching heavy? Talk to me about some of the differences you've faced as a bullpen guy rather than a starter. What are you working on at this level? How's life in West Virginia compared to back home in Texas? You can't live like that.

The Book of Gorman: How does the Brewers' 2014 rotation stack up to their best in recent memory?
http://thebookofgorman.blogspot.com/2014/01/how-does-brewers-2014-rotation-stack-up.html
The Book of Gorman. The internet's only Brewers blog since 1907. Monday, January 27, 2014. How does the Brewers' 2014 rotation stack up to their best in recent memory? The following are the results. If we rearrange the ERAs from best to worst (disregarding Estrada's) we're talking about a rotation of: 3.52, 3.54, 3.69, 3.87, and 4.45. How close can the current rotation of Kyle Lohse, Matt Garza, Yovani Gallardo, Marco Estrada, and Wily Peralta come to emulating that? 2014 3 yr AVG ERA. 2014 3 yr AVG FIP.

The Book of Gorman: December 2013
http://thebookofgorman.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The Book of Gorman. The internet's only Brewers blog since 1907. Friday, December 13, 2013. Hunter Morris is not the answer. Isn’t in play. The answer is really quite simple if you look past his “2012 Brewers Minor League Player of the Year” season. 2011 (A )* 277/299/461. 2013 (AAA) : 247/301/457. He did get promoted to AA in 2011 but he only played 4 games (17 plate appearances) so I didn’t include those stats. Another thing to consider: BABIP (batting average on balls in play). That’s no argument.

The Book of Gorman: November 2012
http://thebookofgorman.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
The Book of Gorman. The internet's only Brewers blog since 1907. Friday, November 30, 2012. Bye-bye, Manny Parra. The Brewers non-tendered LHP Manny Parra. Today, bringing an end to a long, frustrating, and painful relationship. Parra was once a big deal as a prospect, possessing the swing-and-miss stuff that makes scouts drool (and even throwing a perfect game in AAA). Once expected to anchor the rotation along with Yovani Gallardo. Good luck Manny, wherever you end up. Thursday, November 29, 2012.
