Three weeks in Iran
Three weeks in Iran. Connecting the dots on the old silk road. Tree-lined avenue in the rain at dusk, Fuman town, Gilan Province. Originally uploaded by rastapopolos. There are a few stories we didn't get to tell during the hurly-burly of travelling around Iran. Here's a memorable one from our lost day in Fuman. After I'd drunk enough tea, I caught the proprietor's eye and asked for the bill. He waved me away, indicating that payment wasn't necessary. "Aha", I thought, "it's ta'arof. Ta'arof is a bit lik...

Three weeks in Japan
Three weeks in Japan. Two self proclaimed geeks flirting with real life. Saturday, July 29, 2006. New photos on flickr. Some of my favs . more on the flickr account. Posted by sandro @ 5:29 PM. Links to this post. Digital cameras and kimonos. That's what happened to us. The girls were wearing kimonos and Brian thought of taking a picture with these girls. Not a bad idea at all - at the time it sounded a good way of showing our relatives and friends that "hey we're in japan! Posted by sandro @ 5:17 PM.

Three Weeks in July | Just another WordPress.com site
Three Weeks in July. Just another WordPress.com site. 2015 Teams and Riders. Stage 19: The Sky Is Falling. July 25, 2015. For my money this has been the most exciting Tour since the Armstrong/Ullrich battle in 2003 which saw them go into the final time trial only 61 seconds apart. Alp D’Huez is always a great spectacle but should be even more so with so much on the line. What do think about Nibali attacking Froome when he had the mechanical? Is this the most exciting Tour you have ever seen? July 23, 2015.

Three Weeks in Kenya
Three Weeks in Kenya. Saturday, March 06, 2010. Today is the last day! Wow It will most definitely be hard to leave behind my volunteer work. I wish that I could do this forever (with some of the perks of Canadian life truthfully). As much as I will cherish this time, and continuously look back on it, I am equally as thrilled about going home to have a nice clean shower and reflect on the sensory overload I've experienced over the past three weeks. Will I come back to Kenya again? Thank you, to Kenya, to...

Three Weeks in America
Three Weeks in America. Wednesday, 5 November 2008. An amazing night and an election to offer the world a far more persuasive argument for democracy than anything Bush has put forward. Tuesday, 4 November 2008. Polling Day in New Mexico. Hollered the man next to me. I turned round and it was my dad. I felt rather British. Good luck Obamanauts and here's to a happy night. Monday, 3 November 2008. Thursday, 30 October 2008. A Conservative's Eye View. Tuesday, 28 October 2008. Bush has won the last few time...
