My mother always taught me that when you assume, you make… well, let’s just say that orthography is quite enlightening. I’ve found that Mother was more than just a clever linguist when she broke down the word. 2) Do your research. 3) Cause no harm. 4) Take responsibility for any changes you make to the physica...

Through Lakes to the River. Stories from Lake Street. Why We’re Blogging. I in the Morning. December 4, 2012. And ingested cigarette smoke. So the bus feels a blessing,. The bus takes our fears. While we silently slip ourselves. Near unoccupied minds,. Fill the bus’s insides. Like a catalogue of disorders. Or phobias or addictions and. Obsessions or a whole range. Of isms and ics. But here we are. Perched on blue patterned upholstery. And grey plastic seats or hanging. Off grey plastic loops. Faces behin...

Through Lakes to the River. Stories from Lake Street. Why We’re Blogging. On the Bus: 2. December 3, 2012. The 21 rumbles back and forth down Lake Street every day like the neighborhood man with OCD, slowing down at the same carefully predetermined spots, counting the people at the corner, blocking traffic; as with the man, drivers never get too angry at the 21 it is a local fixture, after all and after enough years both the bus and the man gain a kind of timeless invisibility. The 21 lurched on. The man...

Friday, September 2, 2011. Not intentionally, I've been legitimately busy. Going to school, being a mom, trying to be a good friend. You'd be amazed how much energy this all takes out of a person. It's exhausting , irritating and just downright crappy. I redirect, redirect, yell, hug, redirect. Then she does it all over again. It doesn't help Tyler and I are usually on a completely. It's for the best. Right? Saturday, August 20, 2011. I feel like I'm stuck, and I haven't even started. Is this normal?

Sunday, June 13, 2010. I am not known to break promises, and I don't plan on starting now. So ladies and gents, here's a quick- -or maybe not so quick- -recap of what I've been up to so far this year. January 1, 2010- I ran my first 5k. The feeling of setting a very challenging goal, and accomplishing it was incredibly satisfying (and yes, I cried after I crossed the finish line.tears of joy of course. And then I pigged out on Chinese take-out). January 30th- I said yes! March- A Miracle Arrives. However...
