Time continues to march on even though nothing on the blog seems to record it. Maybe that means my hair didn't become more gray. Maybe those extra pounds I wanted to lose have melted magically away. Through the Back Loop: It takes Roughly Nine Years to Travel In a Complete Circle

http://throughthebackloop.blogspot.com/2010/03/it-takes-roughly-nine-years-to-travel.html

Through the Back Loop. Adventures in knitting, fiber arts, and family. Wednesday, March 03, 2010. It takes Roughly Nine Years to Travel In a Complete Circle. Here I sit again. In the kitchen. A bag of knitting at my feet while watching the feathery steam float from the top of my hot cup of coffee. The radio in my kitchen plays current pop hit songs and I am at peace. Finally. My knitting served a crucial role during this time. We have waited so long to have traveled in a complete circle. So here I sit ag...

Through the Back Loop. Adventures in knitting, fiber arts, and family. Saturday, October 30, 2004. Posted by Kristyn @ 11:15 PM. Thursday, October 28, 2004. Because my knitting progress is slow, and I want to contribute some knitting content for a change, I've decided to do a brief review of the yarn I'm using right now for the ARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHyle sock. This 4-ply wool is a fingering yarn. Recommended gauge for Baby Ull is 32 stitches per 4 inches (10 cm) using U.S. size 2 (2.5 mm) needles. Then, I get t...

Through the Back Loop: Laundry Day... Errrrr Night

http://throughthebackloop.blogspot.com/2009/04/laundry-day-errrrr-night.html

Through the Back Loop. Adventures in knitting, fiber arts, and family. Saturday, April 18, 2009. Laundry Day. Errrrr Night. I also found several recipes for making my own baking mix and my own ant repellant (it didn't work very well). On Friday night I went out for my evening's entertainment. I went in search of these:. I went to four different stores in search of the ever elusive Arm and Hammer Washing Soda. Turned out that my regular grocery store had all three items, who knew? Then I cooked it up whil...

Through the Back Loop. Adventures in knitting, fiber arts, and family. Saturday, May 29, 2004. Well, I bought some yarn - yep. So, I'm not doing so well with the yarn diet, then - yep. And I bought some new bamboo needles, too - yep. Seeing as I can't stick to a food diet, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the yarn one isn't working either. I kept slowly winding and - kerplunk (can yarn make that noise? They said that if I sent them the yarn they would be happy to wind it for me! Monday, May 24, 2004.

Through the Back Loop. Adventures in knitting, fiber arts, and family. Friday, July 30, 2004. And the Sock Challenge Is. Oh-Vah! In the words of the commentator for Iron Chef. the sock challenge is Oh-Vah! I finished them last night, rubbing my eyes to stay awake at 1:00 during another night of insomnia. After much ripping and redoing - they look great! I can't wait to send them off in a cute little package to their new owner. As soon as I know that she has received them I will post a photo. Tomorrow is ...

The Scott's: St. Louis Trip

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2013/06/st-louis-trip.html

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. At the end of April for Jared's 30th birthday we all took a trip down to St. Louis to visit Renee. We stayed in a really nice hotel (thanks to Renee and her connections) and had a great time being tourists. Me and Logan on the train at the zoo. One of Logan's favorite things at the zoo! Okapi-they look like half Zebras. A kangaroo that had a joey in her pouch. Turtle park across the street from the zoo. Flooding and a really cool bridge. Eating brunch at the Three Monkeys. Yum!

The Scott's: My Favorite Things in May

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2013/06/my-favorite-things-in-may.html

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. My Favorite Things in May. May was an interesting month-the weather was just strange. From cool and rainy to over 100 degrees (on our family picture day) it was just typical Nebraska I guess. My first 5K, ticks and haircuts it was a full month. Here are some of my favorite things that happened in May. Here are a couple that we really liked. They were taken in the Haymarket downtown. 2 The Glow Run. My first 5K. Here I am with my coworkers from left to right-Janell, Lewis and Kim.

The Scott's: June 2012

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 3, 2012. I think that since I've started running again I've had so much more energy so I've been finding lots of time for knitting projects. Here's what I just finished. It's a little poncho for a coworker who's pregnant with a little girl (obviously) and due in September. I'm so excited to give this to her. I'm also making matching booties. Last night when I was getting ready for bed Jared came in and told me to go look at Logan. My Favorite Things in May. Goes great with the gray, right?

Friday, November 9, 2012. That's What He Said. 65279; One night for supper we were having salads and I always put hard boiled eggs on them. Logan was watching me crack and peel the eggs-when he saw the pile of shells he said, "Look the eggs! He said it so excitedly I couldn't help but stop and laugh! I wonder if this had anything to do with why he didn't want egg on his salad. I'm a big fan of country music (Nashville anyone? I love making these memories that I'll cherish forever. Logan loved going door ...

The Scott's: May 2012

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 24, 2012. Two of Logan's favorite things are milk and chocolate so when you put them together this is what you get:. Complete and utter bliss :). When Jared vacuums the dining area he always moves the chairs into the kitchen. Logan loves to play with the vacuum-so when I got it out for him he immediately started moving the chairs into the kitchen so he could vacuum just like Daddy. He doesn't miss a thing. Logan is obsessed with school buses. Anytime he sees one he shouts SCHOOL BUS! This i...

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Logan at the Dentist. So she went on to tell him about filings and if you take really good care of your teeth at home you won't need fillings. Teeth brushing and flossing is still a struggle at our house but it's become a little easier. All I have to do is bring up the dentist and the pictures of those cavities and he's a little more willing to let me brush his teeth. My Favorite Things in May. Here are a couple that we really liked. They were taken in the Haymarket downtown.

The Scott's: February 2012

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 23, 2012. Logan has always been really interested in what I'm doing in the kitchen so on Tuesday (my day off) we made homeade pizza's and he helped me make the dough. Here he is helping me pour flour into the mixer. Don't be alarmed the stove is not on :). Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I came home to this:. Jared had taken Logan up to the church to make and decorate the flowers. So sweet! Saturday, February 11, 2012. Logan in front of the Allosaurus.

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 3, 2012. Favorite Things in February. There are a couple of things that I really loved doing in February such as:. Making homemade pizza from scratch. I've made pizzas before but have never made the dough or the sauce. It turned out really well and I plan on making it at least once a month to replace the frozen pizza we use as a backup meal option for my late days at work. Having Logan help me make pizza dough! He loves to help! More steps on the pedometer! My new knitting bag! Cooking al...

The Scott's: December 2012

http://lindseyannscott.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 2, 2012. My Favorite Things of November. Just like September, November really flew. Here are my favorites of the month. 1 Bargain shopping at Hobby Lobby. Everything else that I bought that day was also on sale-yay for me! 2 My new smart phone! I drug my feet on this one-I was so against getting a smart phone simply because of the cost. Who wants to pay that much for a phone? It was only going to add $10 a month to my plan. Score #2! We had a blast with all the family that we saw! Subscr...

through the asian looking glass

Through the asian looking glass. Sunday, September 13, 2009. Cristina and I took a week off work to meet up with Tessa and Reuben, who made the California to Viet Nam trek. After a brief rendezvous in Ha Noi, we all flew down to Nha Trang, on the southern coast, for some serious R&R. I'm not sure what "Nha Trang" translates to in English, but if it were to mean something approximating "As close to paradise as you're going to get in these parts" I wouldn't be surprised. Nha Trang at night. Saturday, Augus...

Through The Back Loop. Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 9, 2009 by missknit. So, it’s been a while. A long while, but here I am. With knitting. I know, it’s hard to believe, but I do actually have some knitting to share ( along with more house updates! It’s consuming my entire life, so bear with me). Knit of course. Knit some lace. Not too shabby. Not too shabby at all. This is the Fountain Pen Shawl. This is my clumsy homage to Jane Sowerby and Victorian Lace Today. Hold a blog contest?

Through The Back Of My Eyes

Friday, April 22, 2011. Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance, by lying supinely on our backs, and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sunday, March 13, 2011. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Let me see you stand your ground. This distance between us can seem a mountain's size. But boy, you are gonna stand your ground. They rise to you, you blow them down. Thursday, October 21, 2010.
