Through the Eye of Equus: June 2010

http://throughtheeyeofequus.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Through the Eye of Equus. My journeys working with horses naturally, establishing a partnership based on love, language and leadership. Saturday, June 26, 2010. Better late than never! What's the latest and greatest? On the other hand, I was getting a bit burnt out and will greatly enjoy the time I have at home to just work my own horses. Me to the gate! I rubbed him some more before walking through the gate, and he moved closer so that I could rub him through the gate! Koolaid is another story. I ha...

Through the Eye of Equus. My journeys working with horses naturally, establishing a partnership based on love, language and leadership. Saturday, February 11, 2012. Welcome to: Coos Its Rayn N Gems. It's been 2 1/2 months since I've blogged last: reason being I had very little time to even SEE the horses over Christmas, let alone accomplish anything with anyone (! And since then I have only been home one other time (and. hence this blog! Link - 8yo Thoroughbred gelding. Of course we lost it after a few m...

Through the Eye of Equus. My journeys working with horses naturally, establishing a partnership based on love, language and leadership. Monday, October 24, 2011. End of the training year. For client horses anyway! I also worked with another horse, Tonto, also owned by Charlee's owner, over August (5 days) and September/October (10 days). That's on top of working with the odd other horse here and there and also teaching lessons. And working with my own horses. It's been busy! So, without further ado.

Through the Eye of Equus. My journeys working with horses naturally, establishing a partnership based on love, language and leadership. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Another week and a half at home to work with the horses! I am currently out at work again - as of yesterday - but this is my very last hitch working on the road away from home. Two weeks at work and I am home. For good. Woot woot! Here is what the horses and I were up to last I was home:. Link - 8yo Thoroughbred gelding. Soraya - 5yo CWB mare.

Odyssey: December 2009

http://odysseymyjourney.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 29, 2009. I am BACK :). I am finally back from my little holiday. I really enjoyed it; I met so many people, made so many friends and saw so many places. I will write a blog on it, but first need to finish unpacking :p. My dad (being creative as ever, lol) build a a tunnel with tyres and poles to simulate a trailer. My sister played around with Joy getting her to go in and out. So, when the day came to actually load Joy it was a piece of cake compared to the previous encounter. Yes, she ...

Monday, December 27, 2010. A new beginning :). I haven't blogged in ages. The main reason for this is because we recently moved to a new town where I will be going to University :) The internet has been a royal pain in the BUTT and has taught me the value of patience. or at least I hope so. Anyway, we have now managed to get internet that is a little better and faster, so now I can blog again! So, here goes. I am so excited. I will be studying Equine Science (duh! Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Tum Tum Tum :). It has been a loooooooooooong time since my last post. So I managed to find Joy a good home. She has settled in and is loving her new home. I couldn't have found her a better home. BTW, they were the people who first taught me to ride! Even chose my first pony for me back in the day :). Currently our focus is on three horses in particular: Sion, Llywd and Kishma. Sion is a little Welsh Cob (a cute little pony! Llywd is VERY lazy but so cute! Tum Tum Tum :).

Odyssey: October 2010

http://odysseymyjourney.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 3, 2010. Hello, it's me :). Anyway, so lets start with what I've been doing this past 6 months. I spent most of it at a private dressage stable which is run by the very people that first taught me to ride! My days would start of around 7 am and end at 6 pm. My daily work involved feeding, grooming, lunging and riding the horses. I also went as a groom to shows when I wasn't riding myself. I am still torn between following a natural approach or a traditional approach. If I had a horse ...

Odyssey: January 2011

http://odysseymyjourney.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 1, 2011. I never thought this day would come. or at least not so soon. It has been a dream of mine since I joined a local riding school in 2004 (or was it in 2003. it seems so long ago! However, things just wasn't working out at the time and I got by riding riding school ponies and horses owned by other people. This journey has led me to meet some very interesting horses, and ponies, and have taught me a lot. So the hunting started. and how very exciting and educational it was! However,...

Odyssey: Sockies :)

http://odysseymyjourney.blogspot.com/2010/02/sockies.html

Sunday, February 28, 2010. Life is good this side :). I have been working really hard with the horses and am learning loads every day :) I have been "given" a horse to ride for the time being. She's a tiny little "farm" horse. a beautiful bay mare. I really like her. She's very tricky to ride. You have to be VERY soft with your hands and use your legs and seat more than anything else. She's teaching me so much! If all goes well I will be taking Sockies to a small show in April. I can't wait!

Through the Eye of the Pupil - Education Blog

Through the Eye of the Pupil. How To Be Unstoppable in 2017. High school is all about growth. In the past four years, I've learned and changed for the better in ways I never thought I could. Because, as I'm noticing as I read through the posts on this blog from my freshman year and cringing at myself, I am not the same person I was 4 years ago. And thank G-d for that. Wow. I've never felt as stoppable as I did in 2016. I went through rejection and loss and disappointment and a whole lot of pain. ...In 20...

Through the Eye of the Needle

Through the Eye of the Needle. Thursday, December 31, 2009. I am so happy that Mon started this list of 99 Things. I love hearing others’ unique stories, and remembering that my life, too, is pretty amazing. It pulled me out of my doldrums (which is quite a feat). I mean, really, look at that face! Since all this joy was bubbling up, I decided to honor it and share it—my very personal list of 99 Things. Things I’ve already done: bolded. Things I want to do: italicized. 1 I was born to an amazing mom.
