We were worried about being late (again) so we had to make a run for it. I say "we", Aya was running, I was lagging behind with her suitcase! We were actually there in good time so we took our seats and relaxed. we had been pretty tired anyway and getting up early and running to the station was not our ideal way to start the day, but it was an adventure. We went a...

Living in China.: October 2008

http://www.tim-teachinginchina.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 2, 2008. 1st October is National Day in China (59 years since the Communist Party took control of China) so everyone had a week's holiday. I decided to go to Chongqing to meet up with Aya, my friend that I met online over a year ago. Chongqing is a huge city in south west China with a population of over 31,000,000 and I had wanted to go for a long time. We went out for a Sichuan meal that night (my favourite) before having a quick walk around the area to see what there was around. W...

Tuesday, May 12, 2009. May 4th - Last Day in Chengdu (Photos Added). There was also a guy doing caricatures which was something I hadn't seen so far in China, I thought that was more of a France or London kind of thing. :-P. We went into a shop that showed how they make silk and wool. It showed the whole process which was pretty funky. After that we wandered a little more and went to Dairy Queen for an ice cream. . It was great to see Randy again and it would have been nice just to have an extra day.

Living in China.: July 2008

http://www.tim-teachinginchina.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 31, 2008. So I'll upload those asap. We also went around with a really nice girl of my age called Xu Fengling who works there too and is friends with Summer's brother. We watched the Lion dance where two people, dressed as a Chinese lion jump around from post to post, some of the things they did were really impressive, and we also watched a musical performance. I think most of them liked it, and it was the most enjoyable lesson for me! Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Saturday, July 26, 2008.

Living in China.: December 2008

http://www.tim-teachinginchina.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 10, 2008. They had different rides and things and stalls of different food. I had a few bbq'd skewers of spicy meat which were good, although though set my mouth on fire. We didnt really go on many things, just wandered around, saw different things and took pictures. But it was really nice. A relaxing day. Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Sunday, December 7, 2008. So where was I? Oh yeah, 27th September:. I've forgotten what we did that evening, but it was like 2 months ago so gimme a break.

Monday, June 22, 2009. Here are some pictures of Cheers family at a big lunch together.  The oldest people are, obviously, her grandparents.  The rest are aunts, uncles, cousins, and her mom.  They are eating out of a big pan with a fish and some vegetables simmering in it. Here are some of the things that I love about my dad. . Monday, June 15, 2009. Here is a picture of me with my good friend Pinky.  He is the one who took me to his hometown. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Cheer was only home for like one day in the last two weeks. I miss having her around. Huzi isn't very good company either. He just tries to bark at me when I want to sleep. 25th Birthday Party – June 2011. Published February 7th, 2013 in Chinese Life. So, back in June 2011 I was celebrating my 25th birthday like any self-respecting 25 year old. My apartment was quite full and made for a ‘cosy’ atmosphere. I’ll confess to not remembering much of it. Whether that’s because it was a long time ago or because of the amount of alcohol consumed; I’ll let you decide. Continue reading / 继续阅读: ’25th Birthday Party – June 2011′.
