Introducing Kickoff - an article by Zander Martineau
http://martineau.tv/2013/12/introducing-kickoff
An overview of Kickoff for the TMW Labs blog. Originally posted at tech.tmw.co.uk/2013/12/introducing-kickoff. Within a large team, making sure that everyone is on the same page can be difficult; at TMW we have a team of about 20 web developers (6 are front-enders and creative technologists) and this was an issue that we needed to tackle. Speedtesting gulp.js and Grunt - an article by Zander Martineau
http://martineau.tv/2014/01/speedtesting-gulp-and-grunt
Speedtesting gulp.js and Grunt. Using the Kickoff framework, I compare two of the most popular client-side task runners. Originally posted at tech.tmw.co.uk. Is the new hot young thing on the front-end circuit; it is a task runner similar to Grunt. There are many anecdotal reports saying that gulp.js is far quicker than Grunt at performing similar tasks so naturally I wanted to see this for myself using Kickoff. The front-end framework we use at TMW as a Guinea Pig. Which made this switch doubly easy.

On a technical note, I used the brilliant Entypo icon font. But also added to it because it lacked a couple of icons. I added logos for Pinboard. I’m Zander, a senior front-end developer from London. I work at TMW. As a Creative Technology Lead, when I’m not working there I can usually be found hacking on Kickoff.

Pinboard.in Chrome Extension - an article by Zander Martineau
http://martineau.tv/2014/08/pinboard-chrome-extension
Pinboard.in Chrome Extension. An improved, more responsive design. In fact I think I may be a little obsessed with this simple bookmarking service however, I think its design could do with an update. I created a Chrome extension that cleans up the UI, improves the visual hierarchy and generally makes the site a little more pleasant to use than it already was. Typography was made more clear and readable by using Open Sans. By increasing the overall size of the type. Stars are larger and clearer. Work has ...
