The British Medical Association, the Physicians' trade union, has called for a ban on smoking in private cars, to add to the 2007 restriction on smoking in enclosed 'public' places. Their reason is that such a ban is a small price to pay to reduce the exposure of minors carried as passengers. Apparently, the level of toxins detectable in a smoker's car is 23 times. Seem a 'big ask'.
