A Glance Back | David Ferrie Photography
https://djferrie.wordpress.com/a-glance-back
Kitchen in the dark. A Glance Back is a project I undertook in 2011 for Solo Foto Book Month (SoFoBoMo). I wasn’t entirely happy with the final book but it led me to do my “A Grave Detail” project, which I was pleased with, so it served a purpose. I will add the images from the project later, in the meantime the book (PDF) can be viewed by clicking A Glance Back. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. What happened ..? | David Ferrie Photography
https://djferrie.wordpress.com/2016/08/29/what-happened
Kitchen in the dark. There may be some people wondering why I haven’t posted any photographs for my 366 project and I thought I should explain what happened. I tried using a number of recovery software utilities to get the images back, and while PhotoRec (one of the best utilities to my mind) managed to retrieve over 1500 images from the card, alas the 2 images I needed were not in the 1500. While I had the options of:. Creating two “catch-up” images. Leaving two blank days. I’d like to thank, in p...

Kitchen in the dark. I’m considering starting a series, one which I’ve toyed with for some time, Same Scene Different Day (SSDD) this is the view from the end of the street where I live. I see it each day as I leave for work or return home and I have been struck how different it can look. This entry was posted on 07/09/2016 by David Ferrie. It was filed under 2016. A Grave Detail | David Ferrie Photography
https://djferrie.wordpress.com/a-grave-detail
Kitchen in the dark. 8220;A Grave Detail”. I have always enjoyed visiting graveyards and feel they can give a glimpse into the history of the area they are situated in. I find it very calming to walk around graveyards and while there can be a certain sameness, I find if you look closer there can be interesting details. I know what you mean ,they are a place of solace and reminiscing, peaceful, after all that’s why its “Rest In Peace”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. 234 – Cutter.

Today in the Studio with Anne Bevan
Today in the Studio with Anne Bevan. Friday, November 20, 2015. A Question of Size. One of the great pleasures of plein air painting is watching the expanse of a view appear on a small canvas. This tiny painting is only 4" x6", done some months ago, but, it immediately recalls to my mind the freshness of that autumn afternoon and the breathless speed of the brushstrokes. Many, many elements contribute to the experience of a work of art. One of the most fascinating, for me, is scale. Had to be monumental.
