Tom & Maggie on Tour

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Friday, December 18, 2009. Well, here we are almost at the end of 2009, another year gone, and what have the Davison clan been up to? Certainly not as much as the previous year but plenty to keep us busy. So get ready for the annual epistle – find a good glass (maybe even a bottle) of wine and something to nibble on and lets begin…. 8211; but some people got very aggressive, quite frightening, really. Back to UK on 1st February – to snow! We only just made it home that evening bef...

Tom & Maggie on Tour: January 2008

http://tomandmaggie.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Thursday, January 31, 2008. We woke to brilliant sunshine and cloudless skies and at 10.00am (now our routine start to a day of travelling) set off on our journey to Christchurch. Mount Horrible and Mount Misery, and the Wart. Again the roads are very twisty and climb and fall with monotonous regularity….but it’s anything but monotonous! Still no snow on the tops) then a little further on, at Paparoa Point we had a most delightful encounter with seals! We walked into town yesterda...

Tom & Maggie on Tour: April 2008

http://tomandmaggie.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Monday, April 28, 2008. This is the last entry from the land of OZ! We will finish off the blog from home so don’t all forget to see the final FINAL entry – and of course, there’ll still be the quiz to see how much notice you’ve been taking! It’s been quite a relaxed day with a late start and early finish. We packed up the last lot of brochures and paper memorabilia and sent them home by post thus saving us excess baggage charges – we hope! We missed one bus by a matter of minutes...

Tom & Maggie on Tour: Monday 26 January

http://tomandmaggie.blogspot.com/2009/01/monday-26-january_27.html

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. What a busy day this has been! So after protracted discussion, she retired in a huff and we set off on a personal tour! Let me say at this point, the weather was beautiful – full sun and warm – now read on! Our first stop was Camacha (700m), which is the basket weaving centre. Here it was quite chilly but still sunny. In the factory, we watched 3 men and 1 woman making different items – as with all experts, they made it look so simple. The roads are roug...

Tom & Maggie on Tour: January 2009

http://tomandmaggie.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Saturday, January 31, 2009. What a peculiar day it has been, weatherwise. It was bright and sunny when we left the hotel and within 50m, it started to pour – still with the sun brightly shining! Then the clouds came and within 5 minutes, it was back to bright sunshine – and so it continued for the whole day. Cancelling any plans we had for a day of wandering Funchal’s back streets, we made a quick trip to the Chapel, which had been closed yesterday and hooray! Deciding to wait abo...

Tom & Maggie on Tour: December 2008

http://tomandmaggie.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Tom and Maggie on Tour. Saturday, December 6, 2008. The Davison's Christmas Letter, 2008. It’s that time of year again – and this year I’m trying to be ecologically aware so if you’re reading this, I’ve saved several trees and the exorbitant cost of a large letter stamp, and if you read this on screen, you’re also saving the planet from the loss of more trees! Last Christmas was very strange – for the first time since we had the family, we spent Christmas day on our own. I was SO depressed! And again we ...

Tom and Margaret Donnelly | Lost in America

Tom and Margaret Donnelly. October 7, 2013. Leaf Peeping in the White Mountains. Fall in New Hampshire is magical. While it’s a sign that winter is coming (BOO), the grace and beauty of this season makes me almost grateful for winter. Fall days are wonderful. Indian Summer often springs days in the high 70’s, while the evenings are crisp. The day started out a bit grey, but it didn’t matter. The colors (while not quite at peak) were vibrant and lovely and the day was mild. Today’s open road. After coming...

Tuesday, May 4, 2010. HADLEE at MUSTANG RIDGE. We have decided we are fishing this summer! So we started early. We went to Cottonwood first over by Lapoint to try and catch some huge Tiger Musky , But failed. We still had so much fun! The girls always say this is the best day ever! Lol We took a picnic and some toys and the girls played most of the time while we fished. We are trying to teach them but they just want to cast! I remember though when I was little doing the same thing! I got another one!
