Wrapped Up In Books: July 2006
http://tomsbookreviews.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Wrapped Up In Books. My musings on what I've read since January 2006. Monday, July 31, 2006. Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte. This is wonderful stuff, of course, just about peerless as a story of love obstructed by social pressures. Everybody should read it. Posted by Tom Goodfellow @ 11:08 PM. Sunday, July 23, 2006. The Grapes of Wrath John Steinbeck. The surprising thing is that it’s still so popular in the USA when it’s explicitly a socialist polemic. Isn’t socialism a dirty word in Bush’s America? This mo...

Shamblings: October 2008
http://shamblings.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Reasons why I love living in Australia. I used to do this as a teenager with my best friend Sara at Avoca Beach. It was so nice to be doing it again 20 years later. I hope I still will be in 20 years time. So much has happened to dear Barney since my last post, I hope I can remember his changes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Links to interesting things. Shamblings: November 2007
http://shamblings.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 26, 2007. So my new task for when we're in England is to do Beth's hair every day. After six weeks hopefully she'll be used to it and it may survive intact until the end of the day. Wish me luck! Spring is my favourite season in Oz (yes Tom we do have seasons here! At one stage, the guys went and got lunch for us whilst Tanya (3 mths pregnant) and I (breastfeeding Barney) waited with Beth and Ollie in the shade on a hill. Time passed. and Tanya noticed that Beth wasn't with us an...When ...

Shamblings: September 2007
http://shamblings.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2007. One good reason to give up chocolate. After 2 nights of this I had a good think about what was going wrong and came up with two ideas:. 1) I was trying too hard to settle Barney with rocking, patting, pacing the floor etc. and was achieving the opposite by over-stimulating the poor fella so that he couldn't settle; and. Sunday, September 23, 2007. Penis, peeenis, penis, penis, mouse! I guess that only makes sense if you know how the Maisy song goes. I am special, I am special.

Kate's Book Blog: The opening paragraph
http://kates-book.blogspot.com/2006/08/opening-paragraph.html
Thursday, August 03, 2006. I am often at a loss for what to read, and recently I have been feeling somewhat demotivated. From here on things change. This morning The Times published their list of the 100 best books. An idea struck me. This idea was not particularly original, but as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all that, I'm sure Tom. So, I am going to try to work my way through the list. Oh yes. There are several books on the list that I've started but not finished or that I've been me...

Monday, January 15, 2007. I have just realised that I read another book from the list without even trying! I recently watched the film Capote, and as a consequence borrowed In Cold Blood from the library. Posted by Kate at 12:58 PM. London, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. Shamblings: October 2007
http://shamblings.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 20, 2007. Here is Beth singing Happy Birthday to her Aunty Amy. She's rather distracted by her sandplay activity but it's cute nonetheless. Thursday, October 18, 2007. So much to blog. so little time. I'm home alone tonight (if you don't count two sleeping children upstairs) and a doco on Errol Flynn is starting in half an hour on the ABC which I'm keen to watch. So instead of working on my thesis - still got 6 weeks to write the damn thing - I thought I'd blog. He's 7 weeks old today.

Shamblings: August 2007
http://shamblings.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2007. The Waiting is Nearly Over. It's Tuesday night and Tom and I have just arrived home after stuffing ourselves on delicious Italian food at a local restaurant. Beth's tucked up at Grandma and Grandpa's and will be staying there for a couple of days. We watched the lunar eclipse at various stages - amazing! We can't wait to find out what sex our baby is - is it a Barnaby Edward or a Molly Grace? Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Links to interesting things.
