tripnASIA: February 2011
http://followphilly.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 7, 2011. It has been a while and I have to say I am FINALLY starting to feel settled and comfortable back in my own environment. It has been such a rewarding experience to finally have the time to look over the ratty and worn journals that I have carried with me for the past year. Finding these treasures and gems captured in writing which I hold near and dear to my heart. We’ve got a passion. It’s called peace.”. What more can I ask for? 160; It’s located in a funky up and comin...

Thursday, January 28, 2010. XX and The Temple. I just wanted to share that the soundtrack to my trip so far has been The XX. 160; They’re from London and what I would classify as Moby meets indie. Thumbs up to Carli for recommending them, as well as the Floating market. And an extra thumbs down to Cindy for recommending the Ping Pong show. 160; Although I’m sure Sebastien loves you for it! More of my Starbucks. This is my friend Paulo. He is a photographer/D.J./ Promoter. ...This I found particular...

tripnASIA: Trekking through the beautiful mountains of Nepal
http://followphilly.blogspot.com/2010/10/trekking-through-beautiful-mountains-of.html
Sunday, October 10, 2010. Trekking through the beautiful mountains of Nepal. A friend had once told me that it’s hard not to feel peace when you are in Nepal because every morning you wake up and the first thing you see when you look outside are the Himalayas. And also when the Nepalese greet each other, they place their hands in prayer at their heart centre and say Namaste. Namaste is the recognition of the divine spirit (or soul) in another by the divine spirit in you. Living Words of Wisdom. I also di...

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. The Great Wall of China. 8220;He who does not reach the great wall is not a man! 8221; Mao Zedong. The Great Wall was one of my biggest inspirations and must see attractions in China. We were staying at Leo Courtyard. A super social youth hostel in Beijing. It was a perfect escape from the busyness of China. They had a fooz ball table on the top floor, and “Buy 2, get 1 free” beer specials that we took full advantage of during our stay there. Anyway, I digress. . We got to ...

Monday, May 17, 2010. Fluff and Spangle Finally Leaves The Bay! Was a nickname given to me by “the community” I think because it took me a while to understand what the term meant. And thus I had properly been initiated into the family love tribe. Fluff and Spangle denotes the dress code of any party or family outing. Fluff being the fluffiness and spangle being the sparkly attire that everyone wears at any given point in time. . The days before I left, we took a group outing to The Tree House. He̵...

Thursday, August 12, 2010. It’s cool to love your family. So it’s been a while and it looks like we need to catch up. Time has gone by really fast. Can you believe I am already on my eighth month of travel? My intention for this trip was clear in that I had asked for a spiritual journey. There were some points where I had struggled and asked myself am I staying true to the intention I set for myself? But who wants to live that way? Common sense … but a lot easier said than done. After we left Koh Phi P...

tripnASIA: December 2009
http://followphilly.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 14, 2009. Last month, I started taking photography classes and I have been creatively inspired by two people and their passion for photography. Amie Stafford http:/ www.amiestafford.com. And Cam Bowman http:/ cbowmanphoto.zenfolio.com/. I quickly realized how easy it is to become immersed in this expensive hobby and how fast time flies when you get into it. Hopefully it will make a difference in the photos you see here. And the other side saying. Links to this post. Between 12-2 AM in ca...

Sunday, June 27, 2010. The dog days are over. Well that’s it for Singapore. After two weeks we experienced the night life and the culinary experience which is rated the best in Southeast Asia. I just wanted to take some time to update you with some photos from the Gili Islands and Kuta Beach. Well really only Gili Trawangan since we didn’t make it to the other islands. Karma Kayak – the best place to watch the sunset while sippin’ on Sangria and nibbling on Spanish Tapas. 160; . Links to this post.
