Brussels

http://www.tompgalvin.com/places/be/brussels.htm

Brussels (a.k.a. Brussel, Bruxelles). Brussels - Royal City with an International Flair. Brussels is such a humongous place with so many places to see, that it was impossible to see it all in one day. So, I subtitle this travelogue with. The disclaimer, This is just the first half. More to follow. When I went there in the summer of 2001, I concentrated on the east and south, and vowed to cover the north, west, and center on another trip. I retraced my steps back to the Cathedral and followed due south to...

10 War Memorials

http://www.tompgalvin.com/lists/lists_20030501.htm

10 Places on the Danube. 10 Places on the Rhine. Ten Fabulous War Memorials. Europe and Asia have many memorials in remembrance of all the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who have died in the line of duty. It is the honor of serving their country that is remembered more than victory or defeat. Most celebrate the fallen among a home town, others celebrate battles, or are merely symbolic. But all are meaningful. 10 The Grand Citadelle (from Rocroi. Link will take you to the Ardennes. The cities of Mediterran...

Ludwigsburg

http://www.tompgalvin.com/places/de/baden_wuerttemberg/ludwigsburg.htm

Ludwigsburg - Lots O' Palaces. I have visited Ludwigsburg twice. The first time was an afterthought - taking place on a snowy February after seeing a reference to it in some postcards at Stuttgart. When other travel plans fell apart. But after seeing this city's incredible display of palaces, gardens, and market squares (all frozen over at the time), I marked this place high on my list of places to return. in the summer. And so I have, and can tell you it's worth the trip. in the summer. To me, the best ...

Connecting Indonesians Around The World. Living in Beautiful Brussels. Mei 21, 2008. Posted by finallywoken in Being Expat. The article is written by. The blog owner of A Chocoholic’s Piece of Mind. After a few years, having grown more mature and calmed down a bit, I have come to really appreciate this lovely city. I have been to most corners of the city, many times, but I never get tired of it. But, au contraire. We do have several landmarks in Brussels besides the European Commission “Berlaymont&...
