Sunday, April 3, 2011. Here is my outter Ankles, I cut all my pieces first and then started glueing. First I glued the larger flat pieces and then started on the smaller pieces, once you get it all together then you build the beefy ankle pieces. I built mine on the ankle so I could get it as acurate as possible, Which was very easy. I used my little helpers to hold the pieces in place while the glue tacked up. After that You start skinning the ankle to finish off the piece. Crissy's Blog ( my daughter ).

Sunday, August 30, 2009. R2-Q5 was an R2-series Astromech Droid . R2-Q5 had black coverings highlighted by copper access panels. R2-Q5 was a well-equipped droid, with tools for repairing starships and special, hidden spy devices. He was also one of the few beings aware of IG-88A's infiltration of the Death Star. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Wow, it has been along time since I had anything to post. I'm working on R2's new foot motor holders and his foot shells. These are the very old Kelly Krider foot shells, I have been putting off working. On them due to the fact that they needed so much work. Even the center area for the ankle to mount did not come with the foot. I now have the center ankle area installed and now I'm filing the channel to fit. All of this stuff I've had put away for a longtime.

So we take turns cutting which will take a little longer to build. Monday, December 3, 2012. Anyway, this past weekend, Artoo made a visit with fellow members of The NorthRidge Fanforce group to the Walden Galleria in the Buffalo area to promote the release of Angry Birds Star Wars items at Build A Bear. The mall was very busy and we all attracted quite the crowd at the store. Well, after all, it's not everyday that you see a couple Jedi and an Astromech walking around a mall. Glad that we could bring some joy and smiles amidst the holiday hustle and bustle.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Some Work On R2. Finally had some time to work on the ol' boy, although for all the work over the past couple weeks, I can't say that I'm overly pleased with the results. I've never been a fan of the phrase, "good enough". If I ever use that phrase, it means that I've given up and not really done my best.
