a tumbleweed in the wind: May 2011
https://idic314.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. May 21st 2011 will be the last day on earth. According to one Harold Camping. That is. He goes on to predict that 200 million people will go through rapture and the rest will be annihilated. The beginning of the end is marked by powerful earthquakes (pointing to the Sendai quake). He points to gay pride as one sign of the end times. How does one come to such a conclusion? Well, what will you do with your last days? Skynet has been brought into this world.

a tumbleweed in the wind: Two Weeks Notice

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. How long has it been? Well, yeah I just checked. The story goes like this. A while back, Sarah gave me a heads-up that I would be asked to be HI. She needed to go back to the states to get surgery. The details are rather personal and I wont get into it, but the upshot was just that, should I be HI? Now to put this in context, Laura cannot communicate in her own native language. She once asked me, 그거 어디야? I made an 18-hr schedule for you! By the time we ge...

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. Idic314 shared an Instagram photo with you. Just shared an Instagram. Where have all the bunnies gone? This term I decided to go for broke at SNU. I registered for the maximum 4 classes. I did last term too, but two of them were undergraduate courses, which are really a joke comparitively. I was also thinking about auditing a Monday night class, but that didnt happen. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). You have to know the past to understand the present.

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. And the kitchen sink too. 160;(without Wikipedia I would have called it a bulldozer thingy) to awkwardly poke at the building into smaller and smaller pieces. The machine will sit on top of the rubble while poking around the rest. All the while someone is off to the side hosing down the rubble with water, probably to reduce dust. Ive experienced the public transportation systems of various cities around the world, but the only ones that I can confidently ...

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. The Hoehne Girls vs. Korea. Day 1 Monday, June 24th. Did they try to smuggle something into the country and get caught? Was there a horrible gluten explosion taking out my aunt? Were there terrorists with weaponized insulin? And how was I to know? She answered. Well it was good practice. Day 2 Tuesday, June 25th. The ride into the city is peaceful. It goes over the ocean, along a tributary to the Han River, then along the Han River straight into the c...

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. A New Era aka Three Months of Silence (part three: SNU Grad School and life). For anyone keeping track, the Three Months of Silence series started 7 months ago now. So as of right now Im making a great effort not to make it 8 months. Ive been following a pretty steady pattern of one part every two months, and now Im due again. Now for the unabridged version, people with short attention spans can avert your eyes. Stress over my first term as a grad stude...

A tumbleweed in the wind. A record of my journey. Three Months of Silence: Part 1. It's been nearly my longest hiatus from posting something here since I started back in 2005. So pressing matters at the top, and I'll type forever and ever after that. [edit: I decided to break this up into parts. So here's part one.]. My sister having just turned 30 is sticking to the life plan that she made back in high school and getting married! Wg (I really don't know how to spell her name 엥흐졸 Mongolia), and Sasha (Uz...
