The adventures of Greg Silverman, retail industry employee, prospective college student and superhero. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. So Long, Wage Slavery! Today marked my last day at Electromat, and glorious, glorious freedom from Brett. I again resisted the urge to dance about the store as he presented me with my last paycheck. Goodbye, Brett. Doc Tesseract: July 2005
http://doctesseract.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
The adventures of Greg Silverman, retail industry employee, prospective college student and superhero. Sunday, July 31, 2005. You Mean There's Something. I finally went back outside today. Went down to the mall, walked about, stayed as far away from Electromat as I could. I'm finally well, which means I have to go back to work tomorrow. I'm just saying, after taking three weeks off for vacation, and two weeks off for being charbroiled, I'm really beginning to wonder. I took this freaking job. Finally, th...

Angry Ogre: August 2005

This is a blog about comics, books, movies and politics that will be updated whenever I damn well feel like it. My writing website is here. Visit it. Or not. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. After long, long years as an agnostic verging on athiest, I have had a religious ephiphany. I now know that this world was created, as were humans, and we did not evolve. It was all a ruse, designed to test our faith. All hail the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Creator of all, lord of all. Bow before your king! Looking over th...

This is a blog about comics, books, movies and politics that will be updated whenever I damn well feel like it. My writing website is here. Visit it. Or not. Monday, December 26, 2005. I'm probably a bit late to this party, but I just picked up Trailers. Written by Mark Kneece, drawn by Julie Collins-Rousseau and published by NBM/Comics Lit. You can probably tell by the publisher's name, that this isn't just one of them comical books. It's literchure. Iconic end stupid air quotes. The black and white art...

Let's Talk Film: Wednesday, April 29, 2009
http://letstalkfilm.blogspot.com/2009_04_29_archive.html
Insightful commentary on daily articles on the film industry written refreshingly free of celebrity gossip. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Looking to the past. Ok, let's talk film. Well I am reading in THR.com, the following:. Shia LaBeouf is in talks with the studio to take on the younger role. Stone and Co. hope to begin production over the summer. The question I ask (and will aptly answer) is what happened to Oliver Stone anyway? The answer is obvious. He hasn't had a hit in a while. I am a huge f...Gritt...

Monty On Movies: Gums
http://montyonmovies.blogspot.com/2010/02/gums.html
Monty Ashley and his wide and varied movie interests. Also, movie novelizations. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Okay This movie raised a lot of questions. Mostly questions like "What in the hell? And "Why is this happening? Let's take it from the top. Is a pornographic parody of Jaws. There were three jokes in the movie that I liked. And I'm pretty sure these were all on purpose. JOKE THE SECOND: The mayor has a comically large tie. Why are two of the characters replaced by puppets for the last five minutes?

Monty On Movies: Sita Sings the Blues
http://montyonmovies.blogspot.com/2010/01/sita-sings-blues.html
Monty Ashley and his wide and varied movie interests. Also, movie novelizations. Sunday, January 24, 2010. Sita Sings the Blues. I am going to attempt to talk about Sita Sings the Blues. This is a fantastic movie. It retells the Ramayana, a story from India's myth/history, and it does it in several different ways at once. The characters all have six or seven different appearances, so that the viewer quickly learns what the core elements are. Sita could look like this. And the story could go in these.

Monty On Movies: November 2009
http://montyonmovies.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monty Ashley and his wide and varied movie interests. Also, movie novelizations. Sunday, November 29, 2009. Ninja Assassin and New Moon. I wanted to see Ninja Assassin. But my girlfriend wants to see New Moon. So we compromised and watched both of them. This is the sort of compromise that leaves both people cranky and exhausted. Although that's mostly because, while both movies are exceedingly dumb, we watched New Moon. Last And at least Ninja Assassin. Had some entertainment to go with its stupidity.
