Just who is Tony, and what exactly is his Reading List? – Tony's Reading List
https://tonysreadinglist.wordpress.com/just-who-is-tony-and-what-exactly-is-his-reading-list
Tony's Reading List. Too lazy to be a writer – Too egotistical to be quiet. Just who is Tony, and what exactly is his Reading List? Welcome to Tony’s Reading List. A place where I pretend to know a lot more about literature than I actually do! That’s me, a forty-something Englishman who has somehow ended up living in Melbourne with a wonderful wife and two cheeky daughters. Don’t ask how that happened as I’m not too sure myself. What do I read? What else do I do? Why do I do this? I made the move years a...

Live Grow. Nourish. Create. I’ve only sewn one more star, but I have turned all four stars into hexagons with the addition of background diamonds:. I love each of these star-in-a-hexagon blocks. Together, though, I’m not so sure. Are they going to be just toooo crazy? I feel they might need spacing with something easier on the eye. I think the options are:. 1 Intersperse with neutral coloured shapes eg hexagons or triangles. 2 Make the stars as I am doing but do half with neutral (white or pale pink?

Live Grow. Nourish. Create. Monday Morning Star Count. I have made three more hexagon stars this week:. Which brings the total number to seven:. Now that I have more of a mixture of values and colours, I’m not so sure if I will need any neutral hexagons or triangles to break it up after all. I am liking the way they play together now🙂. Fickle, aren’t I? Linking up to Monday Morning Star Count. Over at Life Under Quilts. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Click to email (Opens in new window).

in lieu of a field guide: Monosyllabic snails
http://booktrek.blogspot.com/2015/05/monosyllabic-snails.html
In lieu of a field guide. May 1, 2015. In an essay in Campo Santo. 2003), a posthumous collection of prose writings, W. G. Sebald provided a critical review of From the Diary of a Snail. 1974) by Günter Grass. The critique in "Constructs of Mourning: Günter Grass and Wolfgang Hildesheimer" was consistent to Sebald's championing of factual context in fiction, instead of unsupported imagination, to deal with episodes of the war and war bombings. Grass died less than a month ago at the age of 87. One. From ...

Reading Ireland Month 2016. Reasons to Stay Alive – Matt Haig. January 9, 2017. December 31, 2016. There was a lot of hype about this book, so finally I caved and bought it. I read it as a break from my pretty depressing reading Ireland month. Light was everything. Sunshine, windows with the blinds open. Pages with short chapters and lots of white space and. But so, increasingly, were books. I read and read and read with an intensity I’d never really known before. As much as I liked the raw honesty of th...
