Steve Harwood's Virtual Environments: The Firebox
http://steves3d.blogspot.com/2009/12/firebox.html
Steve Harwood's Virtual Environments. Friday, 27 November 2009. The firebox is the last section which is lacking from the model and will unite both parts. This is the furnace situated behind the boiler which is where the coal is burned to fuel the fire that heats the surrounding water in the boiler eventually producing steam to power the locomotive. Having merged the boiler with the rest of the train body, this is the last object required to complete the train's bodywork. Click on image to view full-size.

Steve Harwood's Virtual Environments: October 2009
http://steves3d.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Steve Harwood's Virtual Environments. Friday, 30 October 2009. Following the group meeting this week I began to search for reference material that will aid the process of modeling the locomotive. Having only one usable image of the train, images from different angles, showing more detail were necessary if the model was to be made accurately. This was especially true considering our only image was of a scale model of the train. The following images were collected by Rob and myself:. As the train is rather...

Year 3 Virtual Environments. Friday, 4 December 2009. Last Render and Editing. The final task that I have had to complete was to create the final animation with a title, sound and all of the animations joint together. To do this I imported all of the videos into Windows Movie Maker and started by sorting the videos into an order and fade certain areas between them. The final part I had to do was add the steam train to the end of the clip and then added a Title and Credits part to the video.
