Syncro Doka: Cab seat hunt
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007/04/cab-seat-hunt.html
Tuesday, 24 April 2007. I'm putting out a request for a pair of cab seats from the Caravelle CL/Transporter range. They are finished in 'Light Grey' trim. Ideally in fair condition with no rips/tears etc. Trim looks like this with black, blue and red flecks:. Posted by Paul Wilkinson. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Syncro Doka: Secrets out
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007/04/secrets-out.html
Wednesday, 25 April 2007. OK, so it's been a little quiet here right? Forthcoming mods not coming quick enough? I can't deny it. It seems like nothing has happened but on the contrary - its ALL happening! The Syncro has been stripped down and is having rot chopped, new metal fitted and bosy and paint sorted. A hefty bill from Neuffer has resulted in the delivery of a complete and new load bed, Tristar rear bench, Tristar rear sliding windows, dropside pins and rubbers and a load protector for the cab.

Syncro Doka: January 2007
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 19 January 2007. Had an eventful ride to and from Birmingham today what with the extreme wind conditions. I visited Mike Ghia to collect an exhaust and spacer plates for the SA conversion. The exhaust looks like the Winkler version - listed as the 'Sport' exhaust (shown below). It will need modification as it has had a cat (catalytic converter) retrofitted and the downpipe is for a standard 2.3 Audi engine. It exits just forward of the passenger side rear wheel. Still looking for suitable wheels.

Syncro Doka: Under the knife
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007/03/under-knife.html
Tuesday, 27 March 2007. It's been a while since my last post. There are 2 very big reasons for my gap in blogging:. 1) Illness (dodgy knee is back so not much has been done on the truck). 2) Big goings on with the truck (not me doing the work though). During my forced abstinence I have been hunting for parts. As a result I now have a set of LT mirrors (elephants ears! A Westfalia towbar and more importantly a set of Porsche Cayenne Turbo wheels and tyres. Have they been fitted? In the meantime I am cruis...

Syncro Doka: Snow!
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007/02/snow.html
Thursday, 8 February 2007. For the first time since owning the Syncro I have had a chance to experience snow. Even on lightly covered lanes and tracks the difference between 2wd and 4wd was noticable. I had much better confidence in the Syncro and its ability to go where I wanted it to without those tense moments I had experienced in my old Caravelle. With the countryside looking so beautiful I took the opportunity to take a few photos on a local lane. Posted by Paul Wilkinson.

Syncro Doka: Rain stops play.
http://syncro-doka.blogspot.com/2007/01/rain-stops-play.html
Monday, 8 January 2007. Chucking it down outside so I have been indoors planning the work on the Syncro. It's still not back so I haven't done any work on it for a few days. Withdrawal symptons setting in. I think we have a decision on the wheels. Most people went for style 3 or 7 (Mercedes ML and Audi A4 Sport) but I prefer the ML so that's what I shall be fitting. 16" with 275 tyres looks like the spec. Watching a few sets on Ebay that end in the next few days. Posted by Paul Wilkinson.
