Count It All Joy. One Of Those Days. At least once a month, I have a day where I feel completely justified in my “I hate children” motto and question my occupation as a teacher. Is one of those days. Everything that I dislike in children happened all in one 30-minute class: touching things that I specifically said not to touch, talking when I’m giving instructions, goofing off during a recording session, bad/annoying attitudes,. I wanted to go home right then and there. Or punch someone in the face.

Count It All Joy. I Laugh. Seriously. I’ve been praying that God continues to soften my heart for the workplace in these last 6 weeks of school. It’s either the pregnancy hormones kicking in. Count It All Joy. Dub Day…gah, lost count. Lip Dub preparations are well underway! But, there’s still so many things left to map out…like the camera route. Haha, man. I’ve been behind! I’ve taken one too many liberties with my free time. For the next two weeks, we’re hosting 6 Chinese exchange students from China. It’s kind of exciting, yet kind of overwhelming at the same time! We held this huge all-school assembly for the little ones today, and I almost felt bad for them! January 30, 2012. Work life.

Count It All Joy. It’s so emotionally and physically draining when I’m working with this particular 5th grade class. I don’t know how their classroom teacher handles it. With the amount of disrespect, lack of enthusiasm, and disinterest in what we’re doing in class, I have no idea what they want from me! I literally just want to just throw up my hands and say, “You know what guys? Where in the world do they learn this behavior from? How does this make me want to raise children of my own?
