The Sceptical Traveller
http://scepticaltraveller.blogspot.com/2012/07/right-so-ive-made-it-as-far-as-munich.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. Right, so I've made it as far as Munich with only a few minor hiccups (Luik and Lieges are the same place it seems). Whilst I'm here I just wanted to push anyone with an interest in Patrick Leigh Fermor in the direction of this blog. My post from below went live today and an interesting discussion on the merits (or not) of guidebooks is developing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Sceptical Traveller: July 2010
http://scepticaltraveller.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. The Taygetos, above Mystra. I like mountains – great big craggy ones that you can climb up if you have the energy, but can also just stare at in awe. Unlike most people it was the mountains in Greece that first attracted me to the country, specifically the Taygetos Mountains of the Peloponnese. These look as if they belong in Tolkien’s Middle Earth, and always stir something in me when I look at them. I’m not alone in this. Nikos Kazanzakis, the author of Zorba the Greek. Both of t...
