http://edibleherbsandflowers.blogspot.com/2015/07/around-garden-july-3-2015.html
Edible Herbs, Flowers and Other Edibles - Grow Your Own Dinner! Garden, Plant, Cook! Friday, July 03, 2015. Around The Garden, July 3, 2015. A nice over-cast morning. We finally got a tiny bit of rain after days of dust and wind - a whopping .1 inches :-). I started by soaking the seed for 3 days (March 24-27), then started them in Jiffy pellets and transplanted out April 8, 2015. They require warm soil to do well. I was not sure about sun needs, so I opted to put the one in the picture. The calyx are pi...

http://youcancan.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 11, 2008. Peel, core, and slice enough apples to fill your jars (only prepare as many as your canner will hold) and place them in a bowl of cool water with lemon juice (to help prevent browning). I prepared enough for 7 jars. In a large saucepan, combine:. 4 1/2 cups sugar. 1 cup cornstarch (or 1 1/2 cups maxigel). 2 tsp ground cinnamon. 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg. And then bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute. Add 1 Tbsp. lemon juice. 1 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup pecan pieces.

Schneider Family: January 2010
http://schneider8rus.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Together we make a Family. Jan 21, 2010. Bob gets told every year that with having his birthday New Year's Eve, he is never without a party. While that is true, I feel bad for him because sometimes I think his birthday tends to get overshadowed by all the other festivities of the season. This is the only picture we have. :-( He did get his Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake that he wanted though. He is always happy with that. The pets enjoy Christmas too. These photos seem to becoming a tradition as well. It's a...

Sunday, June 15, 2008. Makes about 4 (32 oz) quarts or 8 (16 oz) pints. 15 cups red tart cherries (about 10 lbs). 1 cup ClearJel starch (maxigel or ultragel can be used as alternatives). 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon. 2 cups juice (I used 1 cup pomegranate juice and 1 cup white peach grape juice, because that is what I had on hand. Food Storage
http://youcancan.blogspot.com/2009/08/beef-stew-yield-lot-more-than-recipe.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Yield: a LOT more than the recipe says. The recipe says it will make 7 quarts. Well, it did make 7 quarts PLUS enough for a family of 6 to eat for dinner and enough leftovers to feed 2 adults. So, I'm guessing maybe 10-11 quarts. 4-5 pounds beef stew meat. 8 C sliced carrots. 3 C chopped celery. 3 C chopped onion. 12 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed. 1 1/2 Tbsp salt. 1/2 tsp. pepper. I also added some Montreal Streak seasoning). Thanks for posting this! I made this and it tur...
