Grass-fed beef, outdoor pork, and grass-fed lamb from southwest Iowa. We raise Katahdin hair sheep for their hardiness and their mild-flavored meat. An added benefit is that Katahdins do not have wool that must be periodically sheared; instead they naturally shed their hair in the summer. Our Katahdins are fed nothing but fresh forage and minerals plus hay during the winter. As with the other livestock, we only use antibiotics as a last resort.

The first quilt is this Northern Star quilt. I made the top to teach a class several years ago, and finally got around to quilting and finishing it over the winter.
