Monday, February 24, 2014. Traveling on a budget. It's all very well arriving in a foreign country with a travel budget, but how do you work out how to pace it? Some quick gauges for SA visitors wanting to save for a visit to Denmark:. Train ticket = R800. Loaf of brown bread = R80. Full cream milk = R34 (bizarrely it's cheaper than low fat! Make bread rolls, juice etc to take with you on day trips. Use the free wifi hotspots at tourist info centers and hostels to call home etc. How to catch a Pike!
