Matt On Form: 27th April
http://matt-on-form.blogspot.com/2013/04/27th-april.html
Friday, 26 April 2013. Been a very busy week for me hence the reason I've not been on here for a few days, I can't see that changing to be honest so I will have to make do with getting on and looking at the racing when I do get a bit of free time! I missed most of the Punchestown festival but I did take not of the price of Quvega (! Unbelieveable that she was allowed to go off as long as she did and had I noticed soon enough she would have been a max bet cest la vie. Looking on to tomorrow then. If you d...

Matt On Form: An education continued
http://matt-on-form.blogspot.com/2013/04/an-education-continued.html
Sunday, 14 April 2013. Been about a year since I last posted and I often wonder to myself how long these little adventures will last before the extremities of life takes over or I simply lose interest in favour of doing other things. I have missed the game so much in the last year but I have needed the break, following tipsters in the past has left a sort of mental scar with me as I have become so cynical over any tip that reaches me nowadays so I've not really had a decent bet until recently. I have in ...

Matt On Form: 18th April
http://matt-on-form.blogspot.com/2013/04/17th-april.html
Wednesday, 17 April 2013. Cracking days racing today but I missed all of it in favour of watching Thomas the tank engine (! There was nibble at Solemn just before the off but he too ran another shocking race, probably wasn't fit or is just a shit horse? He took the race from the front last year but I could see straight away that this wasn't going to be his race after a slowish start covered up by the entire field (! On to Thursday then. Matt On Form: March 2012
http://matt-on-form.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 March 2012. I know that some of you will read it and think some of my thoughts are overly simplistic but that is sort of the point really, I have a habit of overcomplicating things in my mind and can sometimes miss the obvious, having it all down here to go through again will help me stop making the silly mistakes or pinpoint me some winners so either way it will be an exercise worth doing I think. I’ll start by looking at amateur riders handicap in this first race at Donny…. Sedgewick ̵...

A Punter's Year: February 2012
http://apuntersyear.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 February 2012. The shape of things to come? Wouldn't it be nice if someone else could put the bets on for you? Well, Sam of The Market Examiner fame, is going to do just that. Let me tell you more. I shall update the The Market Examiner results on a daily basis, just as I do with the other services. Naturally, should any issues arise or difficulties present themselves, I shall write them up in detail. Let's see what happens. I'm looking forward to this! The Market Examiner: Staked 3pts, 4pts.

A Punter's Year: How to make money betting on football.
http://apuntersyear.blogspot.com/2012/03/how-to-make-money-betting-on-football.html
Sunday, 4 March 2012. How to make money betting on football. I must admit I had a wee chuckle when I read on a forum recently, a post bemoaning an inability to make any profits with football betting. The post was followed by another, claiming that it is horses where the money is to be made.after all, double priced winners on football just don't happen. The conclusion was that the bookies have the footie markets sewn up. The 7/22 referred to is System 7/22 of The Football Analyst's. Throw in Skeeve's cons...

A Punter's Year: December 2011
http://apuntersyear.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 30 December 2011. Some of you may have read The Portfolio Investor last year. If you tried it, and didn't take to it, then move on. There's nothing to see here. If however, you read TPI and thought it ok, then this blog might just be for you. I want to try a different tack though, to TPI. The aim of this blog is threefold. As I look to start trading properly. More on this to follow. To me, don't look back in anger. So I won't. So, did we all have a good Christmas then? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

My Betting Life: July 2011
http://mybettinglife.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2011. Steve Lewis Hamilton Update - Part 2. One of the things that is always worth looking at when following a tipster is to see if there are any angles at eeking out extra profit or perhaps smoothing returns. While tipsters maybe great at what they do (or otherwise! Part 2 of the update looks at recent months and e/w performance vs. actual performance. Steve definitely has a lot of places and might be worth doing 1 point e/w rather than 2 points. Here's the (small) table;. Sorry i've no...

A Punter's Year: Weekend. Nice One.
http://apuntersyear.blogspot.com/2012/03/weekend-nice-one.html
Friday, 2 March 2012. Weekend. Nice One. Won't keep you too long tonight. It's Friday, and the priority is takeaway food, a couple of beers, and a good film. So, without further ado. A mediocre day today. Winning Racing Tips. Had a bit of a disaster in the opener at Newbury, picking two each way against the hot favourite. The hot favourite didn't get up to win, but unfortunately neither of our two got up to place! Had just the one, half point bet which lost. Za'Lan - Lingfield - 8/13). TVB - Early Bird.

A Punter's Year: Value For Money
http://apuntersyear.blogspot.com/2012/03/value-for-money.html
Thursday, 8 March 2012. Is anybody signed up to the ProGambler website (www.progambler.co.uk)? I am, just to keep my eye in with such things. You know how it is. Firstly is the length of time of the proofing. The use of "long term" in both the email and in the review to which a link is provided would, to my mind, need the period of proofing to exceed a mere eleven months. Perhaps that's just me. My second issue is the admission that the service is not the cheapest (£950 for twelve months! Look, I have ab...
