Vi presentiamo il video di un primo piatto tipico irpino:i cavetelli, una tipica pasta irpina fatta a mano,con i fagioli. Come secondo prodotto tipico dell'irpinia vi presentiamo la mela Annurca. La forza di questa mela è tutta nelle sue fantastiche caratteristiche organolettiche,nel suo profumo e nel suo sapore. La mela Annurca è coltivata in Campania da secoli e secoli. Il frutto è infatti riconoscibile in alcuni affreschi pompeiani ed è descritto da Plinio il Vecchio nella sua Naturalis Historia.

In Irpinia è presente una razza bovina proveniente dalla steppa dell'Ucraina,chiamata podolica introdotta in Italia tra il I secolo a.C. ed il V secolo d.C. Nella comunità montana ,in Irpinia orientale,questi bovini pascolano in ambienti incontaminati. Le femmine hanno un mantello color grigio e corna a forma di lira,i maschi hanno un mantello grigio intenso e corna a forma di semiluna. La carne podolica ha ottenuto il marchio di origine controllata e va ad inserirsi tra le razze pregiate italiane.
