Monday, June 27, 2011. Ducks, ducks, and more ducks. My friend Klara is here to visit. Yay! We went to a local park today and they have a pond with ducks. They must be used to lots of visitors because they headed right for us as soon as they heard us. We didn't even make it to the water. Kira was afraid the ducks might nip at her so I told her to keep her hands out of the way. I didn't mean that high, but I guess it works. Kira and Malcolm loved watching the ducks go after the bread.

Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Kira and Malcolm are 2! I spent the day making an Elmo cake. It sure takes a lot of "No Taste Red" to get Elmo the right color! My hand hurts from stirring so much icing. The kids recognized who it was so I guess I did alright. Thank you to our friends and neighbors for coming over to help celebrate this special day! Sunday, May 25, 2008. Saturday, February 5, 2011. Here's a few quick pictures from the past few days that I wanted to share really quickly this morning. As you can see from the pictures, Maddie is FINALLY walking! She started taking steps before Christmas but she's been SO timid about walking on her own. Something just clicked this week and she has been walking all over the place. We just love that big grin on her face when she walks! He's now reading 138 words per minute - wow! I can't wait for the next 50! Links to this post.

The ones we're happiest about were Maddie sitting up by herself for the first time (she made it for over two minutes without any help), Maddie finally embracing the glory of solid foods (we finally. Monday, April 13, 2015. This weekend our family went on a very short road trip to visit family in western Oregon, including a quick jaunt to the coast in Lincoln City.
