Friday, January 28, 2011. Benson Brothers - that was the title they put on my January update. Yesssssss, I love it. Getting updates from the orphanage for me is like being a 6-year-old on Christmas morning. As I can attest, having witnessed an actual 6-year-old on Christmas morning one month ago - it is pretty darn exciting. Since there was no report in December, they must have felt the need to compensate a little bit, and sent TONS of photos too. Ashley, 17 months - mickenson, 4 years and 2 months.

Friday, January 13, 2012. We leave to pick up our boys in 3 days! I got an email this morning saying that we have our visa appointment set for Wednesday, January 18th in Port-au-Prince. Thursday, February 16, 2012. Coming in out of the cold. I have decided that the end of an adoption is like stepping into a warm room after being outside in the freezing cold for awhile. There is a huge initial sense of relief and comfort when the warmth hits you. And then, you begin to feel that uncomfortable burning sensation in the appendages of your body as they start to defrost.
