Furrow Irrigation or Dry Farming? For the time being, we are using furrow irrigation to get the grapes established. However, this past season (2010) the vines received no irrigation water. Their last watering occurred in late October 2009, when the vines were "put to sleep" with a good drink; and they recieved no more irrigation water until mid-October 2010. Pressure bomb. The irrigation ditches divert water from Eagle Creek, which drains the southern slope of the Eagle Cap/Wallowa Mountains.

Saturday, July 25, 2015. Learn to Event 2015. Thunder and I competed in his first full three phase event. We only signed up for Starter but he was great! So proud of him. We were in third after dressage and then had a great Stadium round. It was brutally hot - heat index around 107 - but he was great on cross country. A little uncertain for a few scary jumps but he went out there and rocked it. We won! Early morning trying to get a spot in the shade! Lots of bonding with my grooms! Tina and Roger Jones.
