Restaurants, pubs and bars. Originally we had intended on staying in Vientiane for 3 nights, but the hospitality of the staff at Star Hotel persuaded us to extend our stay for 4 more nights. Situated on a side street opposite the Mekong river, the hotel is in the perfect location. All the main attractions, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. The breakfast menu had different options from bacon and egg on toast or pancakes. Each breakfast would come with tea/coffee and a banana.
