Snowboardcross Races of 2008, and random athlete notes . . . Wednesday, April 9, 2008. At Tahoe City Library on a Wednesday at 4:30 pm with all the other 70 year olds. I got 5 th. Place at Nationals. It wasn't awesome, but it surely wasn't bad. Great race, and I was just a hair off hitting the finals and killing it. Here's what a friend wrote to me anyway:. That's awesome. Would it have been funny if i started it out with,'5 th. Just means you lost 4 times worst that the person who came in second'? Tomor...

Living, loving, learning, married, and still looking for a new career path. in beautiful California. Sunday, February 25, 2007. I find cooking soup to be rather cathartic. During the cold, rainy months of winter I spend many Sunday evenings making soup. Today's soup was a red lentil Thai. At the store, substitute serrano. I had spices with no labels in my cabinet - hmm. Smells like coriander (could be cardamon. Posted by Miss E. @ 8:01 PM. Friday, February 23, 2007. A Kinder, Gentler DMV. Because I found...

Snowboardcross Races of 2008, and random athlete notes . . . Monday, November 24, 2008. I didn't want to talk to any of them. I don't think they might say anything I want to hear. Surfer Dudes Galore. The tan muscles and floppy hair from a short distance were enough for me. These pictures are of the next leg of the Triple Crown set up at Sunset beach, a block from our house. Snowboardcross Races of 2008, and random athlete notes . . . Saturday, November 8, 2008. It's been some time since I've blogged, or done anything really. Per the request of my friend Paul who I'm crashing with for the next three weeks, I will be writing every day while I'm here on Oahu, North Shore, getting ready for the season of snow, surfing every day, and tanning my butt. Things are looking good so far, the mere 30 hours I've been here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Making Fun of Surfers.

Living, loving, learning, married, and still looking for a new career path. in beautiful California. Thursday, April 19, 2007. Quite possibly the very worst day. I have not watched much of the follow-up of the Virginia school shooting. I keep meaning to have a class discussion about it. In fact, some of the parents have asked me if we are talking about it. I could not stomach watching the news about it. Could a few more minutes of my time at lunch or before school have made a difference? Tomorrow I will ...

I remember my trip up to the Yolla Bolly and thinking the same thing. Bite me. I am going to put a sign on my driveway too that says priv...

On The Mountain: Injury Report
http://onemountain.blogspot.com/2008/11/injury-report.html
Snowboardcross Races of 2008, and random athlete notes . . . Sunday, November 9, 2008. Perhaps I shouldn't jinx myself by writing a title like that. Not many injuries to report quite yet, just little annoying ones, like hip bruises and rib calluses from the surfboard, feet cuts and shoulder aches. I wake up and they annoy me though, and I just woke up. Ocean He must be 50. I suppose my generation will be the first to support the old women in the water. I haven't seen any over 40, ever.
