At times, our parenting boils down to which of us is most functional. Since I have mostly recovered from my year of chronic fatigue and my pain is mostly controlled, I usually win that contest. Painie Parenting – 12 Reasons We Rock. As a mother of 2, I see this a lot. I am guilty of it to. I know healthy parents who have a brutal time trying to keep up with the Jones’. So how in the Hell are we supposed to compete. The pain got worse and worse. I got fatter and fatter. I slept less and less. I cried more and more. I withdrew from people and kept to myself.
