Mantra- line repeated so often you are put into a trance. Iamb- unit of meter, unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable. Blank verse- lines of iambic pentameter with no end rhymes. Paradox- statement that is self contradictory (Look at John Donne's Sonnet "Batter my heart, three-personed God"). Assonance- repitition of vowels.
