Monday, March 5, 2012. Calm, clear, very cool; temp 45; high to be only mid 70s. Have a very pleasant report about last night; after I posted last night's blog, both Diane and Dan won Bingo jackpots over at Pharr South. Church service at 10. Drove over to Don-Wes Flea Market. For Jim to fix bike light he bough ther; had lunch. Went to Las Palmas Nursing Facility. For a birthday party of Bob Shaffer who turned 80; Bob has multiple sclerosis. While I napped, J&D went swimming. Monday - pack day.

Friday, March 16, 2012. Friday - home sick. Another warm, clear, breezy morning; temp 73; high to be near 90. We took Dan and his car to his garage (to replace the water pump) and got haircuts; barber is near the garage. Picked up D&C's car and Dan got a haircut. Did a "dry-pack" to make sure I could fit all into my 2 bags and didn't have to ship any extras; 'bout ready to leave; too bad it's not for 3 days yet. This evening J&D went with D&C to play Bingo at Paradise Park. Monday - pack day.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Tuesday - 2 weeks left. Light breeze, clear, cool morning; temp 59; high to be 81. Just 2 weeks from today, we fly home to the cold country; doesn't seem possible that our 9 week sojourn is almost over. Went out on bike ride before wind comes up. J&D played mini-golf at The Zone while I rested at home. Afternoon was extremely windy with gusts to 40 mph. Pot luck at the Hall for supper; mmm . . . good! In the evening while J&D played Bingo at the Hall,. March 7, 2012 at 5:53 AM.

South Texas 2010 (for a month). Monday, March 1st. March 2, 2010 at 7:06 am · Filed under Uncategorized. Up @ 6. On the road @7:30. BE @ 4:30. Home @ 6:30. And after 23 driving hours over 1580 miles in two days, I’m home. But is my butt really, really, REALLY tired. And I feel very bad that I had to stand up Dave, Garth, and Hannah because I got home later than I had anticipated and exhaustion. All in all, we had a wonder month long vacation even though south Texas was having their coldest winter in years.

Opening Pharr for 2011. Thawing Out . . . ). Tuesday, December 14. December 15, 2010. Another clear, blue sky; temp 45 – hard to leave. Final packing went smoothly. Dan took us to Harlingen airport. Flight on time – even had space to spread out. Kathy met us at the Humphrey terminal – thanks, Kath. Great trip – looking forward to leaving cold again in 6 weeks. Only gained a pound in the 2 weeks I was gone. Now have lots to do to get ready for Christmas. Merry Christmas to all readers, and Happy New Year!
