September 2016 – Who Stole our Stork?
https://tyandshell.wordpress.com/2016/09
Who Stole our Stork? Infertility at its finest, Our adventure to parenthood. You did not just tell the infertile girl to relax…. Praying day in and day out our luck would change, we prepped mentally and physically for this next transfer. We wanted to focus more on ourselves and our mental heath as infertility can be very taxing and stressful. We unfortunately knew this all too well. Mmmmm so peaceful sounding. My husband would come and find me on the swing bench relaxing in front of all the water dis...
Ice Ice baby – Who Stole our Stork?
https://tyandshell.wordpress.com/2016/12/04/ice-ice-baby
Who Stole our Stork? Infertility at its finest, Our adventure to parenthood. As i sat there again in that waiting room, for what felt like the millionth time. I couldn’t help but feel hopeless. We’ve done this twice before already. What makes us think the third time is going to be any different? Sure they had the biopsy results, sure they had changed the transfer date and time. Sure they had adjusted my meds, but I have never been a lucky person. 8220;Please say your full legal name”. They ask me how my ...

Who Stole our Stork? Infertility at its finest, Our adventure to parenthood. That is always the question! That phone call that I had been so egar to receive all day from the blood clinic came to a screeching hault when the lady on the other line said she wouldn’t have my results until 24-48 hours after giving blood. Now I have to wait even longer for the results! My last clinic was able to give me the results the same day! So tired of waiting, that seems to be all this is. A waiting game. Check back for ...

Who Stole our Stork? Infertility at its finest, Our adventure to parenthood. So while I’m in the mood to write…. Let’s share the story of my egg retrieval results and the transfer details. It was the fertility clinic calling us to say they retrieved 9 eggs. 9! I honestly thought more… But who could go wrong with 9. Then they proceeded to tell me that all 9 fertilized! Two days went by, the clinic called again. 7 eggs made it to stage 3. Yes! Only two more stages to go. And all at stage 5! Transfer day ca...
Third times the charm…? – Who Stole our Stork?
https://tyandshell.wordpress.com/2016/11/02/third-times-the-charm
Who Stole our Stork? Infertility at its finest, Our adventure to parenthood. Third times the charm…? The biopsy results came back about two weeks later. I got the phone call to reveal the results of what my lining told the doctors. 1)I have an abnormal uterus -ok? 8211; the nurse told me that isn’t bad… ok again? 2) The window of acceptance was 12 hours later than what they anticipated. So esentially they were transferring the eggs 12 hours too early. That’s a huge amount of time! Could we really do this!

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. IVF #2: Decision-Making Standstill. August 29, 2015. August 29, 2015. We met with our RE on Friday for blood work and an ultrasound. As he was speaking with us, he mentioned our PGS results and said, “Now you guys just have to decide which embryo you want to transfer.”. 8221; I clarified. No, I don’t want saggy skin. Most of all, I don’t want to put my babies at risk. I don’t want to put myself at risk, either. What do I want? Last time we transferred one embr...

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. IVF #2: Upping the Ante. July 31, 2015. Maybe I’m the only one who feels this way (it sure seems so! It really wasn’t that bad. In fact, it made me wonder why I’ve been so afraid of blood work all along. We met with a nurse to go over changes in my medication. There are no changes with my Omnitrope, so I’ll continue administering the .25ml/day. However, starting tonight I’ll be doubling my Menopur dosage in the injection I named the. July 28, 2015. For now, I ...

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. Reflections on Infertility at 6 Months. February 13, 2016. February 13, 2016. It’s time for me to break the blog silence, and write again. In my last post. I find myself a little bit jealous and judgey when I find out people are pregnant, and assuming it was probably a cakewalk for them. Today, I learned perhaps I shouldn’t automatically jump to those conclusions. Today we took our first parenting course at the Los Angeles RIE Institute. The RIE philosophy.

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. The difference a year makes. November 2, 2016. Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Last year my teacher friends and I handmade the most adorable “three blind mice” costumes to wear for our costume parade at school. We planned them out months in advance, and got together in our off time to work on our creations. The costumes turned out to be adorable. We couldn’t wait to show them off at school. I hoped with every fiber of my being he would be.
IVF #2: Beta #2 – Meet the Hopefuls

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. IVF #2: Beta #2. October 10, 2015. October 10, 2015. We spoke with our clinic yesterday, and they informed us that my hCG levels are rising appropriately! On Friday my hCG was at 7,008. That was a huge relief to hear! It means little Casper appears to be growing at a healthy, normal rate. They also said that my progesterone and estrogen levels are within normal range, so I should continue taking my medication as prescribed. Tagged: 5 weeks pregnant. I think my...

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. IVF #2: 5dpt Update. September 26, 2015. September 26, 2015. It’s only been five days since transfer, but it feels like it’s been so much longer! The two-week-wait is taking its jolly, sweet time. I had pain in the right side of my uterus yesterday, and the day before. Although, I had that in my failed IVF cycle too. I have seen zero signs of implantation bleeding, but for once, I’d really like to see just a tinge of blood! We are doing our best to stay positi...

Navigating the World of Infertility and IVF. November 15, 2015. Despite these emotional struggles I’m facing, things have been going well. The bleeding I was experiencing has completely stopped. My adenomyosis has cleared up. I’m 10.5 weeks pregnant. At our last appointment with our RE at 8 weeks, 6 days, we got to see Casper on the ultrasound. He was kicking his little legs and flailing his arms the whole time. It was so cute! Our baby boy at 8 weeks 6 days. Follow Meet the Hopefuls on WordPress.com.

August 1, 2015. The boys went to a little soccer camp in our neighborhood this week. They learned new kicks and passes and had a blast. Drew didn't get up early enough the first day so he didn't go. He heard about all the fun Tanner had so we signed him up and he worked hard to get himself ready on time. Tanner is just more and more responsible. He is soon going into 1st grade and all day school. I can see he's ready! Sad the Beeson boys are moving soon. . July 31, 2015. The weather was p...

Sunday, March 29, 2015. They just opened a brand new McDonalds near our house, and it's pretty nice! Is it so bad that I wanted a brief window of food related peace? It's not like it's going to kill them to eat junk every now and again (assuming there is no metal in the hamburger). I am grateful for the reality check, however, when it comes to food. It reminded me that no one is going to prepare a healthy and additive/metal free meal for my family except me. It's the annoying truth. We now have three pai...

Indonesia: Flores, Kanawa, Rinca. Last but not least. Trekking around Rinca Island in search of Komodos. The stick that is supposed to protect us.
