Not Just About The Running. Tuesday, 29 April 2014. Well I went, Lassie, I went! I did it… and within my (loose) target time! 8220;Did what”, you say? 8220;DID WHAT”? RAN THE 53 BLINKIN’ MILES OF THE HIGHLAND FLING. WITH GREAT FRIENDS ON A GREAT DAY! Disbelief deep breathing /deep breathing normal. 8217;s 2013 blogs for pointers! 1 Milngavie to Drymen: 12.6mi in 1:51’39” (split pace: 8’52”/mi). Not sure when turning three half marathons into four became “a natural step up” for anyone…. The first part was...

https://stevejsmith56scottishmunroes.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Peak Bagging - The Scottish Munros. Summit Photos and Routes. Friday, 30 January 2015. Beinn Bhreac-liath and Beinn Udlaidh. Planned Route to walk on 30 January 2015. This route was not planned as part of pre-trip planning. Because I had not intended to stop off in Tyndrum. However having attempted 4 of the 5 walks planned for the Moffat area and in need of a couple of days rest, thought it would be better to move further north closer to next weeks destination in Kinlochewe on Sunday. Basically it is not.

http://funonthefells.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Fun on the Fells. Sunday, 17 March 2013. Ketchup, Pies and VO2max. Well 2013 seems to be trundling on at a fair old pace already and in what seems like a blink of the eye it’s March already! Blimey I’d better have a ramble about my winter meanderings then before its well and truly mid spring. First things first I suppose I’d better do a quick Ketchup or even a catch up for that matter. The home of slightly crazy mountain folk. It’s a bit short for you this one? Etc And I suppose on my previous training a...

http://microlodge.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Steve and Blazes Microlodge Blog. Updates on Microlodges and the Adventures of Blaze. Wednesday, 25 April 2012. Well now, what a busy week it's been. After the trauma of getting lost in Wales, it was back to the workshop and a rush getting a microlodge ready to head to Tyndrum, and for a change, we finished it with a full day to spare. Summit of Beinn Dothaidh. Blaze and I then spent the night in Kinlochleven at Blackwater Hostel, one of my favourite places and had a few beers at the Bothan Bar before ha...

Peak Bagging - The Scottish Munros: October 2014
https://stevejsmith56scottishmunroes.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Peak Bagging - The Scottish Munros. Summit Photos and Routes. Monday, 13 October 2014. Rail workers river crossing over River Lochy towards Inverlochy. With the early departure of John P. it looked like the chance to bag four Munros had slipped off the trip schedule, due to it being a point to point walk and requiring a lift back to the start point to pick up one of the vans. From By The Way Hostel and Campsite. Walk Date - 13 October 2014. Walkers - Steve Smith. Start Time - 09:45. Finish Time - 18:51.
