Thursday, February 19, 2009. Just after she made her wish. Mary B. turned 26 last night, so we celebrated with carrot cake and New Orleans-inspired cocktails. Johnny made the cake, which called for dehydrating carrot dust to sprinkle on top. I went to a Cordova family reunion in Jersey and boogied with John's not-so-frail grandmother;. I flew to Tennessee to watch my sister graduate with a Master's Degree. I'm still glowing with pride. The ramblings of a totally-smitten, sleep-deprived mom. Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Yesterday my Grandma passed away, she was 88 so I can't say it was a shock. I am so grateful that she died peacefully in her sleep, she wasn't sick, so in a way it was a surprise. At her house birthdays were special, she would make you your favorite meal and dessert and gather the family together for a mini celebration. I grew up thinking that we were like every other family - just like the Cunningham's on Happy Days. ...

Now I am hooked on downloading some of my favorite songs. I am filling it with some of my 80's favorites, some country, some rock.
