Argent by the Tiber. In the pierced heart of the Crucified, God's own heart is opened up- here we see who God is and what he is like. Heaven is no longer locked up. God has stepped out of hiddenness. Pope Benedict XVI. Friday, November 12, 2010. Henryk Gorecki, RIP. Links to this post. Thursday, November 11, 2010. Apparently, there's now a new trend-within-a-trend in naming baby boys. The hook? I say up with Anthony! Here's the article describing the new trend. Read the article here. Links to this post.

The Folly and the Glory: We the People
http://follyandglory.blogspot.com/2013/08/tonight-i-had-epiphany.html
The Folly and the Glory. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Tonight I had an epiphany. I realized some of the reasons why I'm so proud to be an American, and why, as a Patriot, our damned Government offends me so much. I have spent time living in another country, one that did not enjoy all of our freedoms for they were in fact fearful of their government. While there I came to love both that country and ours, rejoicing in the fact that I didn't fear our officials. Rose up to glory, armed and unafraid, standing up...

The Folly and the Glory: September 2012
http://follyandglory.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
The Folly and the Glory. Thursday, September 27, 2012. Tonight I'm watching the movie, "La Vita e' Bella" (Life is Beautiful). Although it's from 1997, it's far more entertaining than I had anticipated, especially given the subject matter at hand from the era that created the movie: the Jewish genocidal Holocaust at the hands of Adolph Hitler. (Just didn't expect much from 1997 trying to be 1940's film.). This isn't so awful as you think: there is a greater prize at the end. Links to this post. Friday, S...

The Folly and the Glory: Liberty Dies
http://follyandglory.blogspot.com/2012/11/liberty-dies.html
The Folly and the Glory. Wednesday, November 07, 2012. I knew then, at that moment, that liberty died in America. How true it was. Obama has done nothing but undermine the American way of life. He has disrespected the military, previous Presidents (especially if they were Republican), and has wasted MILLIONS of American dollars on personal vacations. Oh, and he's been the most pro-abortion president in history, voting for live-birth ABORTIONS! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Velkomen til vart hem!

The Folly and the Glory: March 2013
http://follyandglory.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
The Folly and the Glory. Monday, March 11, 2013. Life is strange. I always seem to meet the coolest people when I'm in a tizzy about something stupid. A couple weeks ago I saw a segment on Talking Dead. That drove me nuts, and I immediately found the web page for Talking Dead. And Zombie Research Society. And had my tizzy there. The admin of the page gave me the email address of the premiere zombie authority, Matt Mogk. I emailed my little missive to him and much to my surprise, HE RESPONDED! The conditi...

The Folly and the Glory: Overheard in Hallowed Halls - Halloween Edition
http://follyandglory.blogspot.com/2012/10/overheard-in-hallowed-halls-halloween.html
The Folly and the Glory. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Overheard in Hallowed Halls - Halloween Edition. This afternoon we as staff went out to eat with Father. Father, who is also a fellow zombie-enthusiast, posed a few questions for discussion. Here's one of them:. Does a zombie say a prayer before he eats? No, because he has to bite fast or get brained by whoever he's trying to eat. So he says a prayer after. And everyone wonders what Catholics talk about at work in a parish.
