Basil and Kale Pesto | THE UNFETTERED FOX
https://unfetteredfox.wordpress.com/my-recipes/basil-and-kale-pesto
Curious facts and cautionary tales from my adventures in rural living. Basil and Kale Pesto. Pesto is really easy to make with a few fresh ingredients: basil, garlic, olive oil, nuts, parmesan cheese and salt. Typically pine nuts are used but I never have pine nuts on hand so I just use what I have. What you’ll need (very approximately – modify as you go to your taste):. 2 C Basil Leaves. Optional: use kale, cilantro or spinach instead of or along with basil). 2 Tbsp good Olive Oil. 1/2 C Grated Parmesan.

Curious facts and cautionary tales from my adventures in rural living. Grilled artichokes are unbelievably flavorful and they’re also healthy, mostly because they require no dipping sauce. Jon’s favorite thing about them is that you can get right to the heart without all those pesky leaves holding you back. My favorite thing about them is… everything. Here’s how I make my lemony-garlicky Grilled Artichokes:. Remove chokes from pot and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Brush marinade all over choke halves.
