Will Work for Paint: Show Extended / Drawing is Fun
http://sharonbancroft.blogspot.com/2012/10/show-extended-drawing-is-fun.html
Will Work for Paint. The life and times of Sharon Bancroft, painter. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Show Extended / Drawing is Fun. Good news - my work will stay up at Elcy's Cafe. For a few more weeks. If you haven't been able to get to Glenside yet, you still have time! I had a little fun drawing at last night's figure session. I feel very little pressure when drawing in pencil. Maybe it's because I spent so much time sketching in pencil when I was a kid, or because it's so easy to erase mistakes!

http://chrystelspotager.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-in-potager.html
A little bit of France in Kentucky. Wednesday, April 27, 2011. April in the Potager. The early crops are getting off to a good start inspite of recent rain, hail and wind. The addition of pea gravel around the beds proved to be an excellent choice. I was able to pull weeds and actually do some planting between storms. Arugula, Beets, Carrots and Dill. Princesse LaRatte (French Fingerling) potato in high rise box and potato grow bags. My winter expierment with strawberries. View my complete profile. Mid-S...

Chrystel's Potager
http://chrystelspotager.blogspot.com/2011/05/yesterday-perennial-garden-club-visited.html
A little bit of France in Kentucky. Saturday, May 14, 2011. Visited the potager. After a brief talk about the potager style and the transformation of our backyard into a garden, here is a little of what they saw. Put on her best show to greet them. The tour begins in the cutting/butterfly garden. I was in hopes someone would take my offer of red or rust colored mums. I really need to get these divided. On to the Potager. Lettuce (an heirloom from the garden at Monticello) planted with beets. Chris, your ...

Chrystel's Potager: Symbol of Survival
http://chrystelspotager.blogspot.com/2010/05/symbol-of-survival.html
A little bit of France in Kentucky. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Planted in the spring of 2008, the Peggy Martin rose on my arbor is blooming profusely. To assist in the rebuilding of gardens in Louisiana, Dr. Welch has propagated the rose and has made it available in several nurseries across the south, including Petals from the Past. And Antique Rose Emporium. From the sale of each rose $1 is given to garden restoration in the New Orleans area. You can read the entire story of the Peggy Martin Rose here.

Chrystel's Potager: July 2014
http://chrystelspotager.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A little bit of France in Kentucky. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. My pet worms received new homes over the weekend. They started out in the gray bin about 7 years ago. A few years later a good friend decided she no longer wanted to do vermicomposting and gave her bin to me. By that time my worm population had expanded enough to have two bins. Containers have served me well, but the original bin recently. On the left is the large bin, replaced by the one on the right. Links to this post. Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

Chrystel's Potager: Growing Herbs
http://chrystelspotager.blogspot.com/2014/08/growing-herbs.html
A little bit of France in Kentucky. Thursday, August 7, 2014. Last month I presented information on growing herbs at the Purchase Area Master Gardener Association Herb Appea. In Murray, KY. I learned so much about the health benefits of herbs! Did you know that piece of parsley that often accompanies a restaurant meal is a super food, chocked full of vitamins and anti-oxidants? I talked to the group about growing common herbs, why we grow them and shared a few tips. The ones I grow in my garden). Has an ...
