We can always use the help of an enthousiastic volunteer in Kenya. Below you can see what we expect from a volunteer. You can also read some blogs of former volunteers. What we need from you:. A stay with the centre for a few weeks or a few months. A contribution of 150,- (accomodation in Upendo ) per week for accomodation and food and to fund the centre. (for accomodation see; 'what we offer'*). Knowledge of the English language. Experience in working with children is preferred. What you will or can do.

Vanuit Upendo Children's Centre werken we samen met een safari gids, Stanley. Stanley kent alle wildparken op zijn duimpje en laat je werkelijk de meest mooie pleken van Kenia zien. Je kunt je safari al vanuit Nederland met hem regelen of hij kan (als hij daar tijd voor heeft) in Kenia naar je toe komen om daar de mogelijkheden te bespreken. Safari gids/ chauffeur Stanley.

Big boys and girls help the smaller children in the daily activities. Make your own beds in the morning. Take a shower in the morning. Brush you teeth in the morning and at night. No walking out of the dinner table till everybody is finished. Wash hands before every meal and after using the toilet. Big boys and girls assist the housemother in daily household chores like doing the dishes, washing the clothes and cleaning. Clean up the toys and put them back in place after playing with them. 530 - 5.40.
